“A Truly Hospitable Hotel”
My traveling companions and I were very happy with the Hue Holiday Hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff, who insisted on carrying our bags up to the 4th floor for us. I had reserved a room online prior to leaving for Vietnam, but some other girls on the trip decided after we had arrived that they wanted to come to Hue, too - the hotel was very accommodating to this last-minute addition and put us in rooms right next to each other. The rooms were clean and adequate, although the beds were a bit hard and lumpy, yet I slept well both nights that we stayed. The breakfast was fantastic even if simple - a great omelette, abundant french bread with butter and jam, and coffee or tea. Hotel staff helped us with renting bicycles and taking a boat tour on the river (and were open to our bargaining for better prices). On our last day in Hue, my half of the group was leaving in the evening while the other half planned to stay another night. The hotel graciously provided us with a huge pile of extra towels so that my group could shower in the other group's room before catching our train. Overall a very warm and friendly staff and clean and comfortable hotel.
“Great find in Hue”
Fantastic little hotel (especially at the reasonable rate). This was better than most US hotels at 10x the cost! The hotel is off an alley and not on a main street ... as anyone who'se been to Vietnam will know, its gold to be in a good location a little removed from street noise.. Close to restaurants, friendly, helpful staff, free fruit and a selection of free DVDs (great for rainy days). I had room with view of Perfume River ... bright, clean and well-appointed. Best value I had on my whle trip .. Enjoy your visit!

The hotel is about 60 yards off the main road up a narrow allow. However, do not let this approach full you. The staff gave all guests lots of attention and the hotel is self is very clean and appealing. The rooms are comfortable and spacious.
“great location & price - would happily stay again”
A good choice for Hue. We were able to book the room in advance on line and were happily taken to 'a room with a view' which is what we booked, after we were initially put on a lower floor. The room on the top floor got a good view, had a huge bed, even sprinkled with petals! The hot water was temperamental but we could not be annoyed when the lovely staff told us 'the water is cooking'... Location is great, near restaurants and bars (5min walk) but not close enough to be kept awake. In room wifi is great, breakfast was usual greasy eggs n coffee, but that is to be expected in anywhere for foreigners! We went out for noodle soup.

Very pleasant and helpful staff, suggested tours but didn't push them - only drawback was that the free computers were extremely slow in connecting to the internet. Really good value for money. $ and a half stars!
