Recommended: Family from out of town stayed at the Chateau Cartier in Oct 2009 for a wedding. We booked 2 suites. and both families loved the hotel. It was very clean, decorated nicely, and the beds were comfortable. Newly renovated the rooms were very classy . The restaurant in the hotel was clean and comfortable. Very reasonable prices also. Everyone raved about the hotel and their stay there. I would certainly put up other guest from out of town there again. Recommended: Whenever we're in Ottawa, we usually stay at the Westin. Our most recent stay was last summer and we were disappointed - the room was a bit tired, the breakfast (food and service) was nothing to get excited about, etc. We were looking for a new hotel in the area and the Hilton came highly recommended so we decided to give it a try. What a find - quite unexpected. Our room was huge, gorgeous and what a view - who knew there was a lake next door to Ottawa! The grounds are quite lovely too. We'll definitely be back. Recommended: We were very impressed with our room. We had a fireplace and a whirlpool tub. It was very nice. The hot breakfast for each morning we were there was very nice. We had dinner there, was a little on the pricey side considering we had no liquor or beer on our order, and no appetizers. The steaks were very very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.
