Nightmare

Posted Apr 6, 2015
We did not have a good experience. It was an unorganized chaos. Not enough towels for us, the so called breakfast closet did not have enough tables. We ate elsewhere. Very basic!!

Old, run-down motel on noisy road.

Pros: Easy to find. Nothing else.
Cons: Better cleaning staff, better supervision, investing in bleach.
Location: Near Hershey Medical Center, HersheyPark, and Hummelstown.
When I checked in, the key cards did not work on my room so I got new ones and the desk person came to make sure the new ones worked, i.e I was obviously too stupid to use a key card. The room had 2 made-up beds, but one looked like someone had lain on it so I got a differrent room, not knowing what else might not have been cleaned. The second room had a curtain with a torn hem, desk lamp so dusty I wrote a ? on it for the cleaning staff, and the plastic (glued on) beige plastic on the tub floor was grey with dirt. I put a towel on the tub floor to take a shower. The next day when I returned to my room at 10 pm, having been out all day, the bed was not made, but the baskets and wet towels had been removed. When I complained at the desk, and picked up towels from a staff person returning to the desk, the response was did I leave "personal items" on the bed. No apology. When I left the following day, the person checking me out was wearing a dirty uniform shirt, but it appears that person works 24/7, so perhaps he never left to put on clean clothes.

An average hotel

Posted Dec 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
We worked visiting Hershey in as a stop in our way to Niagara Falls. I did some looking around and choose this Best Western based on photos. It seems like they have tried to update the rooms but the hotel itself still felt very, very old. The rooms we're clean though. It was fine for one night. Breakfast was a typical spread but very skimpy, and the waffle maker was broken. Over all, it was fine; not the best and not the worst I've stayed in.

Staff was very accomodating and friendly.

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Thes staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: We had one issue in our room that was addressed to housekeeping and maintenance upon our departure. Add more directional signs to the main parking.
Location: The location is very close to everything Hershey!
The front desk staff allowed us to gain access to our rooms early - allowing us to unwind after a 6 hour trip.

Staff were very responsive and friendly

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was great
Cons: The rooms were a bit cramped, but clean. One minor issue was addressed by the staff with housekeeping and maintenance.
Location: I would recommend more directional signs leading into the parking lot - it is a one way, divided street - so if you miss it, it can be very confusing.
They alllowed us to check in early. The room was clean, not very large and had a fairly cramped sink area near the bathroom. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to be helpful.

not the "Best"

Posted Dec 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
the bed was comfortable, and the room overall was clean. Bathroom and sink area are very small. The property overall is not inviting, it needs to be brighter. Better lighting would go a long way toward that. We noticed several security issues, such as the exterior door leading into the wing where our room was located. It was not secure, and you could just pull it hard and it would open. We notified the staff on this. Also, the parking area behind the building was not well lit

An older hotel. Friendly staff, rooms were suitable. Thin walls, doors. Could hear everything in the hallways and neighboring rooms
