Pros: nice bush surroundings, clean, bug free, kangaroos! Cons: rain water for drinking and showering, very very very far from anything, no view from coffee shop only bistro which is hardly ever open.

Thank you for your review. Yes, being a Wilderness Resort we do rely on tank water. Our coffee bar hours as advertised on our website is open every weekend from Friday-Sunday & our bistro Saturday evenings & offer takeaway options on Friday evenings

This was a nice, quiet place for walking and exploring. More information provided on what was available to do would have been helpful, and how to book things such as kayaks for example. We didn’t know kayaks were available until we stumbled across some chained up. There was also a picture of a spa on the website but I have no idea where that was. I can only assume in certain cabins. There was a lovely lookout and lagoon. We were told by a previous guest that there was a labyrinth. It was hard to find due to lack of signage, but we made it and it was great. The rain stopped us from getting out and about too much but we still had a nice time. We brought our own food and cooked, although a bistro is available. You need to book. It was great that DVD’s were in our cabin, however, most of the cases were empty. Were we supposed to get them from reception? An in room information book is definitely required. I don’t think guests should pay for a map of the resort. Shouldn’t that be part of the package? The staff were friendly, the views from the lookout were great, and all in all we had a nice weekend.

Lovely bit of remote silence
Great staff, remote location, make sure the breaks on your car work. Bring food up with you. Lovely waking up with kangaroos on the porch. Complete silence which is amazing. Phone reception is terrible.

Beautiful mountain retreat surrounded by bush
Stayed due to concert in Hunter Valley and wonderful spot. Sage we couldn't enjoy more due to concert and rain, but looks and feels great. Staff excellent and facilities. Rooms great and love the extras. Feels like home away from home.

The place is pretty nice and the wilderness great, but the bistro is overpriced and the ingredients very cheap. For the price you pay for both the room and the food, the quality should be MUCH better.

Everything was great about our stay except for the lack of suitable heating in the middle if winter. The air con did nothing - take your own fan heater to be comfortable! Otherwise the bushwalks and lookout are spectacular. Great service in the restaurant too.

Ideal trip away from it all with the family
Amazing environment, stunning outlook, so good to get away from civilisation for a recharge. Friendly staff, especially the ever so helpful Lisa. Beautiful drives nearby, highly recommend hiring the golf cart to look around the property. Loved it!

Beautiful weekend spent in the Australian bush. Gorgeous cabins. But I believe they need to update their website with more current photos. They also need more photos of each cabin so that travellers can get a proper feel. The cabins are gorgeous and that needs to be shown.

Top of the Mountain
We stayed in a resort room for two nights. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with both the room and the facilities. Our room was cold, dark and smelt of damp. The very dated common living area with fireplace and pool table was inconvenient and made the stay less than romantic. The positives were the location, at the top of a mountain, surrounded by bushland, lots of kangaroos and great walking tracks.

Get away from it all
Had 2 nights in a I bdr lodge. It was better than expected! Amazing views, loved the wood fireplace and spa. Friendly kangaroos at your doorstep as well as kookaburras and lovely bush walks. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we had hoped, but that is a minor detail as everything else was fabulous.

Excellent Aussie Wildlife experience
We stayed at Eaglereach for 2 nights and although a bit pricey, it was worth every cent! We were greeted by very friendly staff and unexpectedly upgraded to a spa lodge with the most breathtaking view! Seeing the many friendly kangaroos everywhere and feeding them were definitely the highlight of our Aus trip. It was also a child's paradise with many activities from canooing, riding the buggy and playground. Food was delicious. Will definitely recommend Eaglereach to anyone!

Lodge in the mountains
Eaglereach was a great getaway about 3 hours from the Sydney City. Nice relaxing environment with plenty of activities. Recommended for all age groups. Advice: Book activities as early as possible to avoid missing out. Food at the bistro can be improved. The lodge that we were in had all cooking facilities and BBQ that came in handy for all our meals. Just take groceries with you. Highly recommended.

In the middle of nowhere but fab
You wanted Wilderness and that's exactly what it is. With Roo's coming up to hotel it's somewhat magical. Each Lodge is massive, we could have had 10 people staying instead of 3. Done a bit of canoeing, fishing and mixing with the roos for 2 days... lot's to do

Fairy Wonderland
Our stay was lovely they where very helpful I booked the wrong date and they where able to change the dates and even us better lodge with spa with the most beautiful view, even with the fog it felt like fairy wonderland. Our two year had great time watching the wild life and loved the wild kangaroo all over the place, the only thing we could say wasn't to our liking (but this just us personally and nothing on the resort )was the bed was little hard for us and spa just little to cold for us but we had great time and would recommend this place to any of our friends and we will differently be going back
