Very nice hotel in great surrounds

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Hotel surrounds and proximity to Hunter Valley attractions
Cons: Hotel restaurant. Food very nice but a little overpriced as was the wine.
Location: Hunter Valley Gardens are a must see!
Very enjoyable three day stay in very pleasant surrounds. Staff were very helpful. Room very comfortable and of a good size for a couple. Views from our room and the hotel in general very picturesque. Hotel was well located and close to all activities that we had planned for our stay, in particular the HV Gardens and major wineries.

Friendly Staff, Large Rooms & Elegant Dining.

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Setting, gardens, layout, staff, room, balcony, view
Cons: Bed was a bit hard and the bathroom show leaked a bit
Location: Lots of wineries, food and art/craft
Friendly Staff, Large Rooms & Elegant Dining. Lovely 4* dining for dinner. Quiet & romantic. We went during school holidays so the sitting room was full of children at night which wasn't as per the decor - leisurely and relaxing. The staff were very friendly. The room was very comfortable and large and opened out onto a private balcony with lovely views.

Great stay, poor value for money breakfast

Posted Jul 7, 2014
The price versus quality of the breakfast needs to be improved radically. If you are going to charge this price for breakfast it should be almost spectacular!

50th cellebration dinner exceded expectations!

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Loved the quiet atmoshere and the restaurant.
Cons: The breakfast could probably be improved for the price.
Location: The location is close to all the wineries and the Hunter Valley Gardens are lovely. Plenty of food choices all around.
Stayed 2 nights at the Sebel and dinner at Infuzions was very special. My 18 guests left full and happy. The food was delicious. The staff were very helpful and willing to please. The ambiance was great and we had a wonderful long weekend. It was nice having wine and cheese on our own verandah overlooking the courtyard. I would definately recommend the Sebel to anyone who wants a romantic getaway or more peaceful surroundings than the more commercial hotels. Value for money is excellent if you book in advance. I need another excuse so I can stay there again.

Reasonble value for money and a pleasant stay

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: The setting is very good
Location: A good location to explore the Hunter Valley
The setting and character of the hotel is very good and a pleasant stay and would be happy to recommend a stay. The rooms are fine but the decor is ok and shows signs of needing some refurbishment. The food is good but the restaurant choice is very limited
