A Welcome Port in a Storm

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: above
Cons: above
Location: didn’t care
There was one room like we wanted left and time commitments that forced us to make an assessment on the spot. What a welcome sight it was to find respite in this well kept up motel. The staff was particularly outstanding, the room clean, bed soft, secure in a good area and quiet. Breakfast was more than adequate and accommodating any kind of reasonable diet. In out at a reasonable price and on our way with pleasant memories of our stay. Trust this one.

Mattress....Really.

Posted Feb 19, 2015
I'm a Vietnam Vet and sleeping in the dirt was more comfortable than this matress. Their were actual "deep pockets" in the bed that were inescapable if you rolled into them. The police were running down my first floor hallway, yelling at midnight, and hot water pressure in the shower was nonexistent. Really poor.

Not in Expedia pipeline practice

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Location: Location was easy access to hwy, my priority
Unlike my previous experiences, the management insisted the reservation was NOT prepaid. Arrival was late and I was exhausted; the suggestion to cancel would mean Expedia would be paid and at a late hour, I would be out another room somewhere else. If indeed Sunrise Inn is an exception to your standard practice, it should be made absolutely clear beforehand instead of at the most road weary moment.

Had a wind storm that disrupted power on Huntersville but the hotel's generator kicked on and the hotel was the only business with power on that side of the street

Relocation Stay

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff. The room was also very comfortable for a family of 4 and a cat.
Location: There is a Discovery Kid Zone nearby which is great for little kids.
My family and I were relocating to Huntersville, NC from Norther VA. It was a very stressful time. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We needed a late check-out and we got it without any problems. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
