Great Hotel near Lake Norman

Pros: Location, pool and cleanliness of the hotel and most important, they don't allow pets. My wife has allergies and asthma and pet dander is a huge no no
Cons: Breakfast could be a little better with menu selections, try adding: crepes, omelettes, hash browns or potatoes.
Location: Near Lake Norman, North Lake Mall, easy commute to downtown via 77 south. Take back roads to Concord and East Charlotte (raceway). Nice and quiet
Great experience overall, but being the south, when we checked in and entered the room, it had to be at least 50 degrees in the room. Had the indoor pool to myself and my 7 year old grandson for three days. That made all the difference in the world.

Location: It was a beautiful area but we only stayed as a resting place on a long trip. We will visit this town soon though.
The room was clean and very well decorated. We had no problems with our late check in.

Clean hotel, but problems with billing practices

Pros: Very clean hotel.
Cons: TV and bathroom faucet were not in good shape. Hotel staff wasn't able to readily resolve issues. Customers should only be billed for actual charges
I booked the room through Expedia, but had to give the hotel another card for incidentals. The hotel was clean, but my first problem was that the TV had no remote and could only show one channel. The staff weren't able to resolve the problem, so we didn't watch TV. That was a minor inconvenience. My real problem ended up being that I was double billed for my room. The hotel received payment from Expedia for my booking and then billed my debit card for another amount. I had no incidental expenses and caused no damage to the room, so my card should not have been billed. I was assured at check-out that no charges would be made against my card - but that wasn't the case. I called the manager when I noticed the problem and they assured me that I'd get a credit. The credit was temporarily sent by the hotel to the bank, but then never was finalized in my account (confirmed with my bank). I called the hotel this morning to try to resolve but was told that a manager would not be available to resolve my problem until Monday. This would put me 1 week without the funds that they should never have taken in the first place and promised a refund, but never delivered. I've had to dispute the charges with my bank to get my money back. Because of this, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Other than being a little high on price, the hotel was very nice. Curtis checked us in and he was really cool..loved his tats! It was really good that since I reserved and paid online we did not have to by the desk check out just had to leave.

Nice Hotel

This hotel is fairly new and in good shape. Room was very nice and clean. King bed was nice as were the amenities in the room. Will say that the pull out sofa bed so awful to sleep on but otherwise a good place to stay. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Pleasantly surprised

Location: Easy to find, enjoyed our stay
We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. It had two queens and a sitting area with a sleeper sofa. Staff was very pleasant on the phone and in person.
