Excellent Place to StayPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: We loved everything, the history, the staff, the food, the owner.
We loved everything about Oheka the staff was amazing. So welcoming. We felt as if we were guests in someone's home. Oheka grounds are breathtaking. The room and bedding were so comfortable. We cannot wait to go back.

Ambiance amazing very romantic!Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Loved the ambiance - Oheka castle is an amazing historic private home Kudo's to the owner for the work & investment he's made
Cons: The bed- But I was extremely disappointed in the comfort of the bed and didn't sleep well at all.
Location: Great location if you want to leave plenty of restaurants nearby in Huntington and shopping at Walt Whitmann Shoppes. The ocean and beach is nearby.
Oheka castle is an amazing historic private home Kudo's to the owner for the work & investment he's made. But I was extremely disappointed in the comfort of the bed. I could not sleep well. You could also see signs of recent wear and tear in the Castle. The bar service was excellent. Started dinner in the restaurant very nice food presentation & nice surroundings and staff very customer friendly however room service was slightly off. Food was brought to the room without covers which I had to ask for. Also Complimentary snacks in the room were stale. I will return for the atmosphere for lunch or dinner & to enjoy the bar but don't see myself coming back soon for an over nite.

Amazing!Posted Jul 18, 2014
Beautiful rooms, common areas, and spectacular grounds. It is truly a castle. The owner (it is also a private residence) introduced himself to us on the first night and was very welcoming and friendly.

beautiful castle and excellent groundsPosted May 31, 2014
Pros: We like the ambience and the friendliness of the staff along with the food, it was fabulous. We had breakfast which was included in our price.
Cons: pool repaired and cable in the exercise room
Location: We went into the town of Huntington and were amazed at all the people eating out on a thursday evening. There are alot of things to do in the surround
My husband and I stayed at Oheka Castle and were very impressed by the grounds and the cleanliness of the castle, however in the exercise room there was no cable they said they were trying to get it. The pool was also under renovation. Our room was very clean, very spacious the only thing was that the shower door was leaking and it was hard to step up into the tub/shower.

Fantastic stay at Oheka CastlePosted May 28, 2014
Pros: I did research on the Internet.
Cons: Nothing really, there were large Weddings on both nights that we were there but they didn't bother us at all.
Location: We visited the Gold Coast & Old Westbury Gardens.
We are leaving New York after living in Manhattan for 18 months . We have always wanted to visit Long Island's Gold Coast & to stay at Oheka Castle. We were not disappointed, the Castle & Gardens were magnificent & we enjoyed the Restaurant & Bar so much that we dined there both nights.

What a TREAT!Posted May 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed there on our first night of our anniversary weekend. We were headed to the LI vineyards. Our flight was delayed, so unfortunately we missed having dinner or drinks in the stunning dining room and bar. The room was charming, the bed was beyond comfortable! Take time to take a bath in the beautiful tub- you are in a castle- so take advantage of the experience. We took a nice walk around the gardens and down the long driveway. My only regret was not getting there early to experience the whole facility.

A Great Castle ExperiencePosted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
A beautiful castle, extremely pleasant hotel personnel, and the food was outstanding. And, the owner was very personable. A lovely mid week getaway.

Not worth the price!Posted May 7, 2014
Cons: SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE! Grounds.
Perhaps it would be a different experience on a weekday, but weddings seem to take priority over hotel guests. Starting with a less than hospitable welcome, we were yelled at TWICE while on our path to and from dinner (guess they thought we were trying to crash the wedding?). It was our 33rd anniversary, which upon booking I informed them of. At this level of hotel, we expected at least some form of acknowledgment—Nothing. Dinner was delicious, and our server was nice, but that was the only good thing about our stay. Room was just OK....No comfy chairs or couch and couldn't see out the damaged window! We paid $475 for the room, but 310 seemed like it was one of the lesser ones. I asked to speak to the manager Sat. night, and was told there wasn't one there! Coming from CA, the grounds were green but lacking in beauty—no touches of elegance. We were very disappointed.

Beautiful PropertyPosted May 7, 2014
Location: Near shopping, concerts in Huntington.
Couldn't have asked for anything better. Do not discount this hotel based on looks, the price is only a few dollars more than other area hotels and well worth the extra. Beautiful property, grounds, quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.
