Stay in a castle. A castle!Posted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: Gigantic rooms, delicious food, gorgeous castle.
Location: Explore scotch tasting!
We had a great time at the castle - delicious food, great scotch selection, and the staff are great. Stuart kept us entertained for hours in the bar as we sampled various scotches, and then we enjoyed the huge rooms. I even managed to fit a bath in, which isn't usually possible at 6'4". The next morning, we enjoyed delicious breakfast in the dining room (try the salmon and eggs), and wandered around the grounds. It was the best place we stayed our entire trip.

A family-run castle experiencePosted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: personal attention of family that runs the hotel
Location: great hiking, touring distilleries
With the exception of the food, which was passable but not outstanding, we loved our visit at the Huntly Castle Hotel. The family who owns it personally sees to your comfort. rooms are beautifully appointed, and the ambience is cozy and loaded with history.

We had some problems with the room that were taken care of as quickly as possible. The food was excellent. The staff always did their best to take care of you.

What a fantastic place to stay .The food and service were great and so friendly . We wanted a peaceful stay as we were going to a wedding - no annoying knocks or calls so just great I'd love to go back again.

Convenient for the company I was doing business at, beautiful setting and the surrounding area, friendly staff and comfortable room. Good food and drink (especially the choice of over 140 malt whiskey's!). Would love to visit again.

Pros: nice hotel, nice grounds, food prices are good..
Cons: shower didn't work in the room...
Location: made me closer to my destination the next day...
Stay was good, a nice hotel with nice settings, evening meal was only ok, priced ok but had a strange taste?? also wasn't happy with the shower being in-operative, so reverted to the stone ages and used the sink to wash.

A big house with a big heart.Posted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: The relaxing friendly atmosphere
Cons: Having given this a great deal of thought we conclude that we can't think of any.
Location: Located in lovely country setting
Set in a superb location, we were immediately embraced into the family-run hotel and made to feel at home. The food was excellent and whether served in the bar or the dining room, the happy and obviously well-trained staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. In all areas of the management of the hotel, the staff were outstanding and obviously enjoyed their jobs. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer, but will in future. We first visited the Hotel over 20 years ago and were attracted by it's charm; this time we were delighted that not only was the charm still there, but that the changes within the hotel and the service made this a truly memorable experience.
