Crack House

No upkeep. WiFi does not work as well as cable. Remote will not turn off TV or adjust sound. Rented 4 rooms. All the same. Spend extra and go somewhere else.

Pleasant.

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: It was convenient to our destination.
Location: We were there for business, but it was close enough to the Space Center that we could go and enjoy a day.
Our stay was nice. The staff was pleasant and greeted us each time we entered. The room was clean. It was fine for a two night stay.

Ok for night

Posted Aug 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was sufficient for an overnight stay in Decatur. There is all kinds of food places surrounding it & it's right on the highway. I think we had a remodeled room but it was cheaply done & was still dirty. Alright for the price but would of happily payed extra for the Hampton Inn down the street if it wasn't sold out. Would not stay there for more than a night at a time.

Not good enough even for 1 nights sleep

Posted Jul 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
All i can say is 'Wow!!' And i don't mean that in a good way. My family and i needed a place to stay for the night on our way to Florida. There was a fairly hostile person trying to use credit cards at the front desk, but they had no matching IDs for any of them. This person was staring at us, making comments about us having a 'problem.' When we finally got to our room, the carpets felt damp, and we wouldn't walk in the room without shoes. There were dirty towels hanging up and on the floor when we arrived. I had to get clean towels from the front desk, and also asked staff to come get the dirty towels from our room. They never did, so a pile of filthy, stained towels sat in the hallway for the 9 hours we were at this hotel. And there was a bloodied bandage in the hallway close to our room, which was also there for our entire stay. No shampoo, bath gels, etc..just a bar of soap provided. This hotel ranks as probably the second worst place i have ever stayed.

Dirty, dumpy, and in poor repair

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Cons: Updates and repairs are greatly needed.
One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. We have stayed at other La Quintas and been very happy, so we thought we'd go for this one in Decatur. We will never again assume that the name of the chain assures a certain level of quality. This place was in poor repair and was dirty and dumpy. Although the room was "non-smoking" it clearly hadn't always been that way. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke and too much carpet shampoo. All of the countertops and furniture were of poor quality. The bed was so noisy it was hard to sleep. It was like rolling around on bubble wrap. The breakfast was lacking and I was actually a little grossed out to sit on the chairs due to the number of stains on them. This particular La Quinta gets a big thumbs down.

Get what you pay for

Posted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
Not impressed. Clerk would not furnish a receipt. Shower head was DISGUSTING along with shower curtain, condition of bathtub. Repaired hole in ceiling and walls were quite obvious. Sofa had visible damage to it. A/C unit looked like somebody had put their foot through the vents. Two story hotel without elevator and inconveniently placed stairs. I can honestly say, this was the most disappointing hotel we've ever stayed in.
