“Red Carpet Inn is OK place to stay.”

My room was clean and comfortable. The TV worked fine. The free WIFI worked well. The price was cheapest in town. I consider the hotel to be a pretty good deal for a cheap nights sleep.

“GOOD, CHEAP OVER NIGHT ROOM”

CERTAINLY NOT THE TASH-MA-HAL(sp) BUT A GOOD CHEAP ROOM FOR AN OVER NIGHT STAY. NOTE: THIS IS IN A RED LIGHT DISTRICT NEAR A STATE UNIVERSITY, SO KEEP THAT IN MIND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THAT TYPE OF UNFORTUNATE ACTIVITY.

“HORRIBLE MOTEL”

THIS MOTEL IS UNACCEPTABLE! There is drug activity as well as prostitution going on outside of this hotel. Very uncomfortable environment!!!

“Cold night in Huntsville”

I checked in without a problem. When I was making my way to the room, I noticed that there were several people standing around in front of the rooms. When I got in my room, the heat did not work. I tried to call the front desk but the phone would not work. I could hear people talking outside and I did not feel it was safe to walk around to the front desk. At about 2:00 AM someone beat on my door with something that sounded like it was made out of metal. Then they started banging on the window with their hands. I looked out the pep hole and saw that it was a woman with a sweatshirt on and the hood pulled over her head. Eventually she went away and then as she was walking by again, she pounded on the window one more time. I could still hear people talking outside at that hour and it continued the rest of the night.

“Take off your list of viable hotels”

Disappointing to say the least.

“Nothing like the ad photos.”

The towels were rags, stained with holes. The room carpet was nasty and stained, and should be replacement. The furniture had pieces missing.

“You get what you pay for!”

I knew it wouldn't be great because of the low price, but this hotel was baaad. The clerk couldn't find our reservation. I had to go behind the desk and login to my email twice to print out the reservation, which took about 20 minutes and much time trying to conquer a language barrier. The room itself was kind of scary looking, missing it's safety latch (just had the deadbolt) and the AC cover had fallen off the unit and was lying on the dirty carpet. The AC itself just shot out hot air and we didn't even want to get under the comforter (upon which we found a long weird piece of metal) so we sweltered all night on top of it, in the stiflingly hot room. (I didn't even want to bother going back to the clerk and trying to get another room - I was too frustrated already). The bathroom door was dented and gouged and the whole room was just shabby and old, and we kept hearing loud motorcycles and trucks in or near the parking lot all night (and in the wee hours). At least the TV worked, but we didn't want to shower there. I texted my friend, "if we get murdered here, I leave to you my xbox." Half joking :P At least our flight was at 6am so we were able to leave this hovel at 4am...

“terrible experience”

When I stayed at this hotel, the room smelled filty and there was way too much activity going on at the hotel. Younger men would constantly be outside and it made me feel very unsafe. Not to mention there was always noise going on until around 4am

“House of ILL REPUTE”

I will never stay there again. I had to switch rooms twice because they were filthy. The first room did not have a safety latch on the door, it smelled of cigarette smoke, there were stains on the carpet, and there was a large hole in the center of the comforter. I refused to stay in the second room, because it was on the back end of the hotel where there wasn't any lighting and the third room didn't fair any better. I took it because it was right in the front where I could see my car. The carpet was dirty and had not seen a vac because there were tags from someones clothing on the floor. I refused to take my clothes off, so I slept fully clothed. I refused to shower in this room and had to go to a relatives house to shower. The best part about the place was the security. City police patrolled the place 2-3 times per hour. Every time they came through all the drug dealers and prostitutes would go inside. If you are visiting Huntsville do not go to this hotel. The only reason I stayed is because I was going to be charged if I stayed or not.
