“It Was Great.”
It was what I'd hope for. What was really nice, was everything I needed was close by. Food, gas, etc.

“A good room at a good price.”
I have stayed at this motel at least a dozen times in the last 20 years and have always found the rooms clean and the staff very courteous. On this trip, I noticed my refrigerator didn't appear to be working and I left for about an hour and a half for supper and when I got back there was a different refrigerator with a nicely chilled interior. Possibly, the bed could have a better mattress but it was nice and firm and I slept very well. The carpet and the bathroom looked fine (a bit of paint flaking above the sink) and appeared to be very clean. The AC was so cold I had to shut it of at midnight - not a complaint, I love a cold AC. I have traveled to over 30 countries in the last 35 years and have stayed in some dumps and some very nice rooms. A room at the Super 8 of Athens was superior to 80% of the rooms I had in Europe, the middle east, and Asia. In the words of Arnold - "I'll be back!!."
“Good place”
Good for an over night stay. Wouldn't want to stay longer than that though
“Super 8 in Athens, Al”
The motel was good considering what we paid and what we needed (a clean, cheap place to sleep for a couple of days).
“Not exactly what I expected”
The price of the room was a steal for a 1 night stay. We got a non-smoking room but the entire hotel smelled like smoked. Our room did not smell like smoke but as soon as we opened our door there it was. Other than the smell, the price and location were a plus. So, if you are a smoker go for it but if smoke bothers you...Stay away!
“Sometimes you get what you pay for.....”
My husband and I just wanted a place to lay our heads on our way home from vacation. After lugging our suitcases to the second floor (no elevator) and getting into our room, we soon discovered the room had an ant problem. Given the time of year we felt like we could live with that. We walked next door and picked up some dinner and once settled back in the room a roach crawled across the wall. My husband killed it and took it downstairs to the desk clerk who offered to spray our room. Of course that would have made it difficult to sleep then so we declined. The hotels around us and this one were all full from a sporting event so we were stuck (we drove 12 hours and were tired). We hoped that would be the end of at least the roaches since we didn't see more after we killed the one. The next morning they ran out of coffee and juice in the so called continental breakfast which really just capped off the stay. Do yourself a favor and don't choose this place for a good nights rest.
“DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you love bugs and mold!”
Please do not stay at this hotel. We had the absolute worst experience we've EVER had here, and we've stayed at hundreds of hotels. We didn't expect luxury or anything, it *is* a Super 8. But there was mold somewhere near the bed, mold in the AC units. Ants in the room. I'm afraid there might have been bedbugs in the bed! The pillows were so old, they were only around an inch thick! The sheets, and pillow cases were DISGUSTING! There were holes, they were worn out, and lots of scary stains. The plumbing didn't want to work in the toilet. The bathroom wasn't very clean. The refrigerator was busted. The carpet was coming up and worn to the floor. Every surface was dusty and dirty. I really tried to tough it our and stay there, but just couldn't! NO ONE should have to stay in those conditions. They either need to update and clean these rooms, not to mention BUG BOMB them, or the health department needs to get involved! It's slightly cheaper than other hotels, but there's a reason for that. Please don't fall for it and subject you and your family to this filth! We were relocated to the Sleep Inn across the street, which was EXTREMELY nice in comparison! The only nice thing I can say? The lady that checked us in was really nice!
“Horrible room”
The sheets were see through and stained. We ended up sleeping on the beach towels we had brought. The heater did not work, the gap in the door was large enough to put my fingers in, the outside security door did not work. The TV remote did not work, Overall, the room was terrible. I wasn't expecting a 5 star room at this rate but atleast I was expecting a clean room.
