“Hospitality driven.”

The location was right near our conference center; definitely a plus. The staff was friendly, gracious and caring. A "plain-jane" hotel that was clean and friendly - couldn't have asked for more for the price. Oh, and the coffee and morning continental breakfast wasn' t bad either.

“If you like moldy bathrooms and dirty rooms this is the place for you.”

We checked into the hotel after a day at Cedar Point we were comfortable with Comfort Inn and have stayed at many of them. Check in went fine but when we arrived in the room we were very disappointed. The bathtub had black mold all around it. The plumbing had serious issues. The mattresses were worn and sagged and there was just a general lack of maintenance. At breakfast the next day the breakfast area was dirty and the cereal was stale. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in in a long time.

“Nice Hotel and Close to Cedar Point”

After the check-in problem with Expedia, everything went smoothly. The room was clean and nice. It did have a smell of cigarette smoke but it was a smoking room. The pool was nice. My family enjoyed the waffle breakfast. I will definitely stay here the next time I go to Cedar Point.

When to go

We went to Cedar Point on a Thursday. We had the best time because for some reason there were NO LINES. We rode almost every roller coaster twice. Another reason to go during the week is that the hotel rates are significantly cheaper.

“Not Thrilled!”

The room had a very strong "wet-basement" odor and the bathroom was pretty disgusting. The toilet seat was dirty from previous use and there was hair on the floor. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else! The only good thing was that it was very close to cedar point!

“Best trip we had in awhile 2010”

We arrvied early they let us have the key earley...the rooms where nice and clean love the place, subway, mcdonalds beds where clean and service was great. ...what a great trip....prices was great and would go back in a heart beat...great trip for all....love it

“Pleasantly surprised by the staff”

The manager was polite and greeted me with a smile. Even though I was late checking in, due to a bad snow storm, he kept the room for me and even pre-heated the room. He was great!

“Excellent value.”

When going to Cedar Point, all I ever look for is a clean place to sleep. The Comfort Inn in Huron, OH was perfect. The rooms are new and well-kept. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. There are numerous restaurants and gas stations right near the hotel. The indoor pool and the breakfast buffet were both above average.

“Did the trick . . .”

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The sink is outside of the closed off bath/shower/toilet room which didn't work well for privacy within the room. The continental breakfast was good too - nothing spectacular but the kids were impressed with the freshly made waffles. Kids enjoyed the pool. Worked well for us for a 2-star hotel.

Traveler's tip

Location was perfect for Cedar Point. Not right in the big rush of things but about 10 mins. away, right on the road into Sandusky. Hotel is across from a McDonalds and a gas station with convenience store.
