“Kansas Nightmare”

Tv remote control did not work. Daphene tried to fix with new batteries and even exchanged it but no help. Internet service did not work. Bedside table lamp burnt out. Two Kleenex in box Never again.

“One of the Better Choices in Hutch”

This was my second time staying in Hutchinson, KS, on business. For the first trip, I stayed at the Comfort Inn, which I will never stay at again by the way (long story short, I had ants in my room). The Holiday Inn Express was a little more money, but it was well worth it for the added comfort and overall experience. The night shift lady working the front desk there was a bit rude when I arrived - she seemed flustered and distracted - but the check-in process was pretty painless. The facilities are decent enough with a pool, spa, and fitness room for working out. The continental breakfast was the usual fare (muffins and pastries, cold or hot cereal, coffee, eggs, bacon or sausage, dried out biscuits), but no worse than any other chain's offerings. It was fuel to get me going for the day. The room was fine. The bed was comfortable with decent support (and, hey...no ants!) For business-oriented folks like myself, they need to put in a larger working desk with even a cheap executive high back chair in the room. The el-cheapo, and quite small, desk / table and two chairs were a bit of a pain to do my work on in the evenings (chairs way too low to sit and use a laptop comfortably), but it was adequate. Yeah, I know. You can't expect too much in Hutch (no Marriott or Hilton) but it was overall a good experience and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay and spend their hard-earned cash.

“nice hotel for price and location”

My wife and I stayed here on a weekend visiting the Cosmosphere and Salt Mine Museum. Nice hotel and friendly service. Excellent breakfast available. One problem only was that the staff missed cleaning our room while we were out on Saturday but otherwise all was well (we got towels from the front desk, etc). Safe parking lots and lighting and the grounds seemed very well-maintained. Very clean room and hotel in our experience. Free Internet (wireless) in our room with King bed...Room also had a refrigerator and microwave oven which were nice...and a little 'sitting area' with a couch and coffee table. We were pleased overall and plan to stay again if we take our parents to visit the Cosmosphere later in the year.

“Nice stay”

This Holiday Inn Express is well-maintained. You don't expect a lot of luxury because it isn't a full service hotel, but it is clean, comfortable and has everything needed. It is also very conveniently located for the business I conduct while in Hutchinson.

“OMG! Never again!”

I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime from the time I was a child on vacation to current weekend getaways throughtout the yeas as a adult. I will NEVER stay at a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express again. This past weekend we visitede Hutchison Kansas to see family and friends. The check in went smoothly until the attendant admitted she ran the card wrong and or at a higher amount and didnt know how to fix it or apologize for her mistake. We booked our Hotel on Expedia. Once we got into our room I enjoyed the cool air and the view was nice from the third floor until I noticed a dead moth on the floor by the A/C unit covered in ants. I didnt think much of it until I saw a to go container of spoiled food left in the nightstand ontop of the phonebook. When I picked the container up to throw it away I also noticed empty water bottles and a burger wrapper under the bed. The next morning we left to run errands we left the do not disturb sign in the key hole cause we would be back shortly and did not want anyone in our room. On our return the sign was removed and there was signs of housekeeping in there. When I contacted the front desk they assured me that it would not happen again. Sunday morning my family and I decided to sleep in before the HOT drive back to Texas but we were awaken by the sound of housekeeping at 8:30 in the morning. I called the desk to make sure check out was at noon and asked why housekeeping was entering our room at 830. They said It wont happen again

“Excellent experience”

This HI Express is beautifully maintained and all the little extra touches made it a very pleasant week's stay. Friendly and efficient staff, everything about the hotel was in top condition. I travel to Altoona, PA frequently on business and I will be sure to return to this location.

“Nice place to stay”

I had a 4 night stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again on future business trips to Hutchinson, KS

“The hotel was OK.”

The hotel was ok. Everyone at the front desk was friendly. We were traveling as a family of 4, with two small kids. The kids did enjoy the inside swim pool.
