“Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.”
This is an older property that is described as completely refurbished, that is not completely true. It still looks, smells and feels like an older property, though it has been painted and the furniture replaced. Not completely bad, but not worth the money I paid that night, especially considering the location. The room was not my mother's idea of clean, hair on the toilet, debris under the bed, bathroom corners dirty. The pool area is inside and very dimly lit, most of the lights overhead were turned off or burnt out. The built in hot tub has been removed and none available. The attached cafe does not keep regular hours, they admitted to closing when they wanted, depending on business. The breakfast was fair but not as good as most. The good news is the staff, front desk was polite and helpful with additional towels and the breakfast staff very responsive to requests for decaf coffee in the morning. Personally I would stay again if the price was quite a bit lower, but my wife would not.
