Lovely hotel but..

Pros: Lovely, clean, friendly.
Cons: The doors squeakiness.
The hotel is great for an overnight stay, there is a restaurant, starbucks and spa facilities. The room was very clean. Only problem is I was room 106, this room is backing onto the stairs so can hear all the foot traffic through the night, which isn't a problem unless they are coming through the door. The doors are extremely squeaky, in desperate need of some WD40. I was up from about 5.30am

Very Disappointed - Not A Village Resort Standard

Cons: Knock the hotel down and start again , this hotel doesn't fit the portfolio of a Village Urban Resort Hotel , wished i had booked a travelodge !
Location: Location ideal for our visit but nothing really around.
A very worn, tired hotel not to the usual standard of the Village Urban Resort Hotels.Pleasant reception area but past that the decor is tired. We booked a twin room, reception clearly knew this told us twice that we had a twin room but allocated us a double room which the room was damp and had black patches of damp on the walls, second room we were allocated in was dark, the window was broke, bathroom small. Apparently fresh clean bath towels were left in the bathroom, however when we came to use them they were soiled & dirty, most disgusting. Excellant breakfast but dining area had stained seats, the 'ASDA' smart TV control was broke, reception on the TV was poor.

Hotel was acceptable, the reception staff were friendly. TV did not work in my room at first. The leisure centre was OK but in need of a bit of modernising and decoration. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel was good on the whole. Although the room we stayed in the double bed was crammed in against the wall so you had to climb in from the end of the bed. The breakfast was more quantity over quality. The health club and rooms were fairly clean and well organized.
