This place was phenomenal. This was probably the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel, ever. The food is great and breakfast spread is impressive. 10/10. My only knock on the hotel is the area that it’s in. It’s…boring. Not a deal breaker, but if you are someone who likes to walk from your accommodation to find places to eat, access public transport, go on a walk, see things, take photographs, then the location makes things a bit difficult.

Excellent service. We had buffet breakfast and dinner throughout our stay, excellent food and huge variety. All staff were very helpful starting from front desk service to room service and to dinning service. Will highly recommend this hotel to travelers.

Modern property with excellent food! The breakfast, dinner, and lunch buffets were chock full of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, including 6 or so desserts! The property has a 25m swimming pool and a tennis court. The executive suite was accurately sized at 650 sq ft. Bathroom was clean, modern, and had a powerful shower, but wasn't as good as other hotels which had the toilet enclosed by a door within the bathroom. The hotel provided a welcome tray of chocolates and fruit. There is a mall with a Shoppers Stop a few blocks away.

My wife, toddler and I were in Hyderabad, and our stay at the Taj Deccan (which coincided with their 120 year anniversary) was such a pleasant experience. All the staff were very friendly with us and our little boy, and ensured we had a comfortable stay, and even invited us to their 120th anniversary cake cutting celebration. The restaurant managers Rajini, Venkat and Satya, Chefs Ahill and Kumar, housekeeping team Sudeshna and Arpan, the reception front desk staff, porters and many other people, were very friendly, courteous and accommodating to our every need, and made us feel like we were entering their own homes as guests. My son will never forget the little gift (plush elephant cuddle doll) that was left for him in the room when we got back one evening. The location was very good for us as it is near three large malls. Despite the ongoing renovation, we did not feel like it was too noisy during the daytime, and they stopped working during early and late hours, or when we walked through the lobby. I hear they will be done soon, so we will definitely consider this hotel on our return to Hyderabad.

Central location. Good breakfast options for diabetic or High BP folks. Friendly staff. Didn’t like smell of mildew in corridors. Can see mildew on the exposed central round wall due to construction. Breakfast too late. At 7 am. Some travelers need to go options on breakfast. TV worked in room after 2 days of a 3 day stay. Gym TV also needed programming . Hope to return after construction work is done to see a new improved Taj Deccan.

Disappointing service
We had booked our room at the Taj Deccan but to our surprise we were moved to the Taj Krishna across the street. The Manager promised a room upgrade for the inconvenience and once we were moved, we were given a regular room. Manager wasn’t professional and unexpected of Taj Staff. It was disappointing that we weren’t informed ahead of time that we would be moved and for making a false promise.
