Is this hotel open?

Posted Jul 13, 2015
It was the weirdest hotel experience ever. When I pulled up there was one (yes 1) car in the parking lot. I walked in the lobby there was total silence. It felt like I had walked into the twilight zone. A very nice girl appeared and checked me in and I said "you don't seem very busy". She said there was a walk in and another reservation like me. There was a sign on the counter that the pool was closed and I was looking forward to using it. I asked her about it and she said humorously "it hasn't worked for years" with a chuckle. The vending area was empty of vending machine with a sign saying "use the ice machine upstairs". However the stairs were being guarded by a skunk. I'm serious!

Bad location

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Was not a single place to call in a pizza or even a phone book to call out. Not even close to a store or restaurant or place to eat. No information on places close or nothing. I will not stay on my next trip I will payote and stay else where.

Owner/Manager couldn't care less about customers

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Lobby
Cons: Hotel grounds, parking lot, customer service skills of management.
Location: There is nothing nearby.
My stay at the Magnuson Hotel in Idabel in March, 2015, was extremely disappointing. The rooms were tolerable regarding cleanliness, but the hotel grounds are terrible. The parking lot needs significant work and they let grass and weeds run wild! The worst part of the visit is the front desk staff, particularly the manager. He is very rude and clearly does not respect customers.

The bed was very uncomfortable to me. I like a firm matress but I felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

Economical basic facility for a couple of days.

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Room was clean, bed comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful. Rate per day was excellent. If you are a fisherman, this is a great place to stay for a couple of nights. Fishing at Broken Bow is only 20 miles away and the trout are awesome.

good for price

Posted Oct 2, 2014 on Hotels
room was comfortable and clean. light on end table had no bulb (or) place to plug light in. Even though the carpet was not that old it was very frayed going from bedroom to bathroom, like it was not anchored down when installed. staff was friendly and helpful.

OK place to sleep

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Staff was pleasant hotel was clean but very dated.
Cons: I believe this was a former Howard Johnson's that gave up it's franchise. It's OK, clean but not a 3 or 4 star.
Location: Work.
It was a late night place to crash. I pulled in at 2:00am. The staff was pleasant. The room was hot when I entered as the air wasn't on. I could have called to ask the room be ready.

Very unfriendly service. Otherwise a decent hotel for the price.
