“Comfortable”

The hotel looks a little run down, but that is deceiving. My room was very clean, well maintained, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. I wasn't in Idaho Falls in December for the scenery. I had a good night sleep and a long hot shower each day. Just what was needed.

I was only in the area near the hotel, so I couldn't recommend any place other than that.

“Not impressed”

Seven parking lot lights not working in the parking area I parked in to be close to my room. Sink Hot and Cold faucets reversed, reported to front desk, he thought it was funny and normal. Breakfast was not open at time specified, very skimpy. Machine to bill extra guest breakfast to room wouldn't work or take credit card. Paid cash but they was unable to give me a receipt, unusal?

“Slowly gone downhill”

The staff was friendly, but there were too many problems. Have tolerated many small issues in the past, but I am afraid I will not be back to this Shilo. I have been to this Shilo at least 5 times over the years. However, this time the 2nd floor reeked for a day and a half. Food plates from Room service were left in the hall for 3 days. Many things in the room were broken, they did fix them. There were never any towels at the pool. The food at breakfast used to be good. It was so bad this stay, we never went back. The hotel is in disrepair in many locations, it is not being maintained. It appears to have attracted a large population of lower class people as well.

“Will stay again”

Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff. Overall a great place to stay. We have stayed at several other hotels in Idaho Falls, we will def. stay here next time, no need to try any others.

“Very Nice!”

Even though this Shilo Inn is also a convention center, it still had a very warm atmosphere. The desk attendant was very nice and accommodating. Seeing that our son was dissapointed that the pool was down, she upgraded our room. The breakfast was wonderful. The rooms very clean and comfortable. Would definitely return.

“Nice place to stay”

Bedroom area was nice. Bathroom needs maintenance. Comfortable beds. Nice front desk people. Gentleman working in restaurant for breakfast did not provide good customer service. Asked about complimentary breakfast and he gave us the third degree before finally telling us to get a coupon from the front desk. Would stay again but don't want him to assist us in restaurant.
