"Japan was so clean and refreshing!"
Knowing nothing about China or Japan, we decided to venture out and book our own hotel and see the city on our own. I looked on a map of Tokyo and picked the part of town where we thought we could walk to our site seeing spots. We were right on. The Grand Palace was in the heart of it all. We walked a total of about 5 miles in one day, but it was well worth it. The hotel staff made sure we knew where we were going. They set up our shuttle back to the airport. They were always in the lobby asking if we needed help with anything. They all spoke English, too!

"Very nice hotel"
My daughter and I stayed at the Niwa Hotel for one week on a recent holiday. This hotel has been decorated with beautiful Japanese styling while appealing to North American travellers. The breakfast buffet was very good with both Asian, North American, and European choices. We made use of the laundry facility and the guest lounge area. My daughter found the business centre computers a great way to catch up with friends online, while we were travelling. The hotel was easy to get to from the train or subway station. We also enjoyed being near Tokyo Dome and all the facilities there.

"Definitely stay at this hotel!"
Tokyo is such a busy place, this hotel is a nice retreat from the hussle and noise of walking around! Being American tourists in Tokyo we were intimidated by such a new culture. But the people at this hotel made us feel so welcome and comfortable it quickly calmed us down. We asked for store locations and were provided with directions, a map and which train to take to get there. We asked where we could buy a certain product and were given a store name, map and directions and which train to take to get there. The breakfast was good and had lots of choices for us. The location is excellent as is it centered between three train stations and close walking distance to Akihabara. When we go back to Tokyo, we will be staying at this hotel again. If we ever go to another location in Japan we would first look to see if there was a B chain. The only downside we noticed was the small bedrooms and hard beds. But we did not spend a lot of time in the bedrooms so size was not a problem. The bed was hard to sleep on as we are used to a softer bed. It felt like we were sleeping on the floor. But overall it was a great hotel!

"Great base from which to explore Tokyo"
This hotel is very conveniently placed barely two minutes walk from exit A5 of Jimbocho metro station, and the area is full of excellent restaurants and convenience stores, and a twenty-four hour internet cafe, and it's even just a half hour walk from the Imperial Palace, so it's a great base from which to explore Tokyo. The room and hotel were very clean. We had a smoking room, so it smelt of cigarette smoke, but with a short time of the air conditioning on, or the window open, you soon stopped noticing it. The room was also small, and the window had frosted glass so there was no view out of our room... of the wall the hotel is built right next to! I didn't mind - it's a Tokyo thing. I didn't ever have the hotel breakfast so I can't comment on that (but if you don't like it, like I say you're surrounded by great restaurants and stores). The staff didn't speak much English, but even tourism office staff in Japan won't speak English, so you shouldn't rely on that if you intend to travel to Japan, however they were extremely helpful, and friendly. I asked them where the nearest kaiten sushi place was, and they looked up the internet, a phone book, rang a friend and even printed and showed me on a map. Unfortunately Tokyo addresses are notoriously difficult for even Tokyoites to decipher, so maps rarely help, but the staff were very helpful and pleasant, even down to cleaners wishing you a nice day as you stroll out. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay in it again.
