"Excellent hotel."
This hotel was excellent. My wife and I had a washer/drier, microwave, TV, bathroom, a double bed, free & fast WiFi, and fell local calls in our room. Not to mention, the hotel's breakfast is more like a dinner. It had good breads, rice, a meat dish, salad, soup, juice, water, and tea every morning - for free! My grandmother stayed in a "nicer", more expensive hotel nearby and had to pay for every little detail that we got complementary. We went to Kyoto and came back to Tokyo and were sad to have to stay in a different hotel (because this one was fully booked). This is a good hotel with excellent perks. Far exceeded my expectations.

We stayed two and a half nights. It is in a great location across from the metro station. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean and modern. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

"Great hotel"
I go to Japan (Tokyo in particular) at least once every year. I'm not a big fan of staying in the busy areas of the city due to noise etc. Hotel Bellclassic happens to be in one of my most favorite areas to stay. It's quiet but not too out-of-the-way. It's a 1-2 minute walk from the JR Otsuka train station and about 5-10 minutes from Shin-Otsuka station, which gives you a couple of commute options. It's about an average of 30 minutes' train ride to most of the major tourist areas (if that's your thing). There is a convenience store right across the street, which is convenient (no pun intended). The JR station is also a kind of mini-mall. The hotel itself is bright and clean and pleasant. I stayed in a single room with a double bed, mini fridge, writing table, side table, desk chair and little sofa chair. It's a little small, like most hotel rooms in Japan, but enough room for a couple of small suitcases. I like that the bottled water in the fridge is free (replaced every day) and the amenities that are are full-sized so you actually have enough soap/shampoo to shower with. No wifi, but they provide an ethernet cable, which I used with my Airport Express with no problems. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I speak Japanese, so I can't tell you how well they communicate in English. All in all, a good experience. I have no complaints. One thing that may be of concern for some is that you can hear people in the hallway quite clearly. But it was mainly a very quiet hotel.

"Way better than expected"
Went into this expecting some issues with smoking vs non smoking rooms based on previous reviews. To the contrary, both times I stayed here I was provided with exactly the room i requested - clean, large, and able to fit 3 people and luggage comfortably. (they provided a foldable bed). The hotel provides everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. Nothing 5 star, but this is a decent 3 star establishment and I was not disappointed. They also hold luggage for you for free, which was very useful. Love the location. It's just next to the Parco dept store. The previous reviews on how the red light district is behind the hotel doesn't really make any difference. This place is so near the station, and it is extremely safe. I was walking around late at night and did not come across anything seedy. The 'red light district' was much tamer than Shinjuku's.

"Nice hotel in ikebukuro ~"
Awesome location, hotel itself is located in a big shopping centre, near Tokyu hands, in less than 5 min walk to main roads of ikebukuro, around 10 min to ikebukuro station, there is limousine bus stop just outside of hotel. There's LAN cable for free access to internet (not that quick). Rooms are small (but like most accommodation in Tokyo). Housekeeping workers do not speak English, which may lead to some miscommunications here and there.

"Good Quality Hotel and Convienient to Ikebukuro Station"
The room was very clean, and although a bit small by US standards, in line with our expectations. Wall sockets for laptops, recharging cellphones, etc were a bit scarce...but I found a powerstrip hidden under the desk. The room also came with free internet. The Hotel Strix is located about 3-4 block from the Ikebukero station, so it was very convienient for the Tokyo area day trips we made. However, the station is very large with multiple exits, so you'll need to pay close attention to the station signage to find the West exit. Best to have an area map with you as you navigate the 3-4 block to the Hotel as it is tucked behind a few other buildings. We would definatety stay there again.

In addition to the world’s largest automobile showroom (Toyota Amlux), it boasts the fastest escalator (at the Tokyo Metropolitan Building Art Space) and two of the world’s largest department stores. A 10-hectare garden, one of Tokyo’s best, is just three subway stops from here.
