Kronio in OlympiaPosted Sep 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Family run hotel is very service oriented. The hotel is very well located and the rooms are clean. The bed was a bit hard but the breakfast was fine. Overall this hotel is a very good choice in terms of value for money.

Nice small budget hotel, well located in the centre of Olympia. Very friendly service. Stayed there one night to see the Olympia site and museum (a must see for anyone interested in the history of Western Civilisation), and for that purpose it worked very well.

Good hotel, helpful owner.Posted Jun 24, 2012
Pros: The location and the service and atentiveness of the owner. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: No shampoo - but this also happened in the hotels we stayed in Mykonos and Santorini, so it may be a small town thing.
Location: On main street, but not noisy.
Very good value for the price. The hotel is located on the main street of the town, but in a quiet area. The owner is very kind, friendly and helpful. He booked us tickets from Pyrgos to Athens, then he accompained us to wait for the bus to Pyrgos when we left, and offered to take us in his car if the bus was late, so we would not miss our comexion to Athens. He told us about his family, his farm and his olive oil.

We had a great stay at the Kronio. We were there for one night to attend the torch-lighting ceremony for the 2012 Olympics. The location was perfect, breakfast was included and the hotel staff was great! They even called the bus station for us to help us figure out the bus trip to our next location. We highly recommend them!

Kronio Hotel at Oiympia,GreecePosted Jan 27, 2012 on Hotels.com
This was a delightful hotel, spotlessly clean and comfortable.Only 5 mins walking to the Museum and Archeaological site of Olympia, and right in the centre of the small town.I cannot speak more highly of this gem of a hotel and have no negative comments. It is a family run hotel and at the time we were there it was winter and quiet. The son and daughter in law were away and the hotel was being run solely by the matriarch of the family, the elder mother, who did a wonderful job ,mothering us kindly the whole time, giving us whatever help and guidance we required during our stay. She provided a lovely breakfast and even a big bag of oranges on our departure! It was like being a guest in her home! Don't miss this gem!

Would not take credit cards even though hotels.com advertised that they would. Really nice hotel, but make sure you have cash.

Good value near the ancient Olympia sitePosted Sep 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
Comfortable, great-value rooms. Décor a little tired, but more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff and excellent price. Tip: All the big tour buses arrive in Olympia early in the morning and then clear out of the area by the afternoon. If you want to see the sanctuary as the place of peacefulness it was intended to be, visit later in the day at dusk when it’s quieter, and then stay in Kronos overnight. There are plenty of good-value, nice restaurants as well.

Thid is a well maintained, clean and well run operation. It is excellent value for money It is family run and the owners are delightful,. The room we had was bright ,clean and quiet at night. Opening shutters block out noise and the morning sun and allows a morning sleep in! We were farwelled with a bottle of olive oil direct from the family farm. Don't think twice !! Stay here to visit the beutiful, histroic and scenic town of Olympia.
