Refreshing change for Wollongong

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: It's modern and a great location close to the beach, and the city. The rooms were spacious and the lobby decent.
Cons: Breakfast was good, but not spectacular.
Location: Beach, restaurants, shopping. All within walking distance.
I live in Wollongong and sometimes escape the kids with my wife locally. We usually stay at the Novotel, which has a beachfront location, but now prefer the Chifley. It still has a great location right near the beach, but the facilities are so much newer. I was surprised at how good this hotel was. And it's just down the road. Although it's a block from the beach it's also very close to the city and all the restaurants. In the end, a better location too. Will return.

Central to lots of attractions in Wollongong

Pros: We liked the decor of the room, and the comfort of the bed. The room attendants need congratulating on the cleaning of our room it was spotless.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little more extensive. That is more choice
Location: Location very central to many Wollongong attractions.
We were very impressed with the winter deal we purchased on expedia at the Chifley Hotel Wollongong. It was great value for the money. We love packages. ie Bed , Breakfast, parking and wine and cheese.

Pros: Close to the beach and not too far from everything Clean and tidy room and lobby
Cons: Two single beds were pushed together to form one. Calling it a 'queen' is misleading and quite uncomfortable Building is a bit dated
Stayed one night for a wedding down in Wollongong. Check-in was simple and they had undercover car parking for $15/night.

Nice hotel, close to everything, modern & clean

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Staff were very obliging. Wedding coordinator did an excellent job. Just beautiful.!!
Cons: The lifts are hopeless when there is a function occurring.
Location: Wollongong-Lots of eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Shopping centre is really good, modern, and of course the beaches are beautiful.
Lifts were useless- quicker to walk up to 11th floor than wait for lifts. Food was excellent. Hoped for a ocean view, but had a view of rooftops instead. We attended a wedding in the hotel. Everything was lovely. Staff were excellent.

Wollongong ist trotz der Werbetrommel die gerührt wird kein besonders zu empfehlendes Reiseziel.
