Lovely bed and breakfastPosted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Very clean rooms were spacious breakfast was very good
Cons: Nothing, only small issue was we could not sit out in the beautiful garden as our hosts have 2 cats which my wife unfortunately has a great fear of
Location: As we arrived on a Sunday most of Ilminster was shut so there was not much to see, if you want a good pub meal I would highly recommend the Stonemason
The Woodleigh is a lovely family run b&b, our room was ensuite and surprisingly spacious. We were greeted by our hosts (Chris & Dee),who were friendly and welcoming, we soon felt at home as Dee made as more than welcome pot of tea which was really appreciated. The bed was really comfortable and we had a good night's sleep, breakfast the following morning was very good and plentiful. We would certainly use the Woodleigh again if we were down this way.

Super family findPosted May 26, 2015
Great stay very comfortable and everything we needed in the room. The whole family were happy with all facilities on offer and the owners were super hosts. Great breakfast as well. Lots of choice and accommodating for young tastes. Would recommend and would stay again.

A lovely B & B with great owners.Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Very clean and comfortable, and good value for money.
Location: Right in the heart of Ilminster, and a comfortable drive down to the coast.
We stayed for one night in Sept. 2014 on our way down to the coast. The B&B was easy to find, and upon our arrival the owner made us a lovely cup of tea. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The town centre and restaurants, pubs etc were only a short walk away. We had a very comfortable night and in the morning the breakfast was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone, as it is extremely clean and comfortable, and the owner takes great pride in his level of service.

convenient overnightPosted Sep 26, 2014 on Hotels
After finding a parking spot across the road,we were met by Chris with an immediate offer of a cup of tea. Room was comfortable with a seating area and spotlessly clean with all required toiletries and good hot water/shower.A lovely breakfast including a well poached egg from rescued chickens (heaps of other choices ) sent us on our way to Cornwall. We would be very happy to return to meet both Chris and Dee again and enjoy their hospitality.

We were greeted by Chris and Dee with exceptional courtesy even though we arrived early as we had an invitation to attend a lunch at 1pm They also helped us to arrange a taxi at short notice no mean task for a Sunday afternoon breakfast was very good indeed A very hospitable couple and great hosts

Perfect B&B close to town centrePosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly and clean and comfortable
Location: Near town centre..lots of individual small shops...craft centre....pubs and places to eat...lots of Somerset villages nearby to visit.
Arrived to be greeted with a friendly face. We were taken to our room and immediately offered a pot of tea, which was very welcome after our journey. The room was lovely.... Clean and comfortable bed, small en-suite, t.v. and tea making facilities..we had a nice sofa and lovely view through the window, overlooking the cricket pitch. There was a pleasant sitting room which we did not need to use. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of cereals and fruit juice and yoghurt and a full English breakfast followed by toast and jam or marmalade.

Perfect comfy B&BPosted Jun 9, 2014
Stayed for the night as had a wedding reception at Dillington house. The owners Chris and Dee were welcoming, helpful, and cooked an excellent breakfast - we would highly recommend!

There was a problem with the mattress.Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Rooms are a good size. Breakfast.
Cons: Replace the mattress.
Location: We were there to visit relatives so not really a trip for exploring the region, but Ilminster is a pleasant town.
Did not have a good nights sleep as the mattress was not in good condition. The owner moved us to another bedroom and that was fine, but another couple used the room that we had vacated so I don't know if the problem is resolved. Good breakfasts and pleasant garden at the rear of the house but parking can be a problem.

Convent stop-off on the way to the West Country.Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: Relaxed ambience and friendly attitude of the owner.
Cons: Parking in a nearby road means you have a longish walk with your luggage to the B&B.
Arrived late in the evening, but we were welcomed nicely by the owner. We were given a good early breakfast, and were on our way by 0800.
