“Great way to see Florence and then relax for the night”

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The amenities were very good. The breakfast was a good European breakfast with good selections. The views from the hotel were fantastic.

“The best view! The best service! The best restaurant!”

Absolutely marvelous place to stay! It is 25 minutes from Florence by bus and is located at the beginning of the Chianti road. You can enjoy the most beautiful Tuscany view standing on top of the hill where this hotel is located. Breakfast was excellent as well. Rooms are small, but so new, comfortable and nice. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant (does not belong to the hotel) is absolutely wonderful: great food and the best wine and excellent live music. If you are not afraid driving up the steep hill and sometimes walking up this hill, then this is a great place for you

“Very nice”

You will need a car - other than that there is really not much to say. The hotel is situated on top of a hill and has beautiful views of the surrounding areas - Tavarnuzze and Impruneta. About 5 miles to Florence - what a spectacular destination. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

“Hotel Villa Ambrosina review”

1st off I'd like to say that the staff were excellent and very helpfull. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Florence and Tuscany but I would say that a car is essential due to thefact that the hotel is on top of a very steep hill. There is a regualr bus service from next to the supermarket/free carpark in Tavarnuzze into Florence that costs 2 euros to centre of Florence. I would give this hotel 7/10 due to location and the breakfast was nothing special being nothing more than ham,salami and roll and sugar coated croisants, muisli and yoghurts.

“Tuscany Gem”

Small hotel on hilltop---beautiful views. Very nicely maintained, staff friendly and helpful. Room was good sized, but lacked adequate closet space for people staying an extended time. Bathroom was excellent. Nice breakfast room and provided good variety of foods. Hotel was a bit difficult to find, and directions (expedia and mapquest) were not specific enough. While blic Bus service to Florence available very close by in the town, a car is a necessity if staying at this hotel. Restaurant on lower level of hotel---while not associated with hotel- was excellent---both food and staff. Would definitely go back to this hotel when visiting again.

family of 4 ; nice, clean hotel on hill top ; approx. 15 min. to Florence by car ; good breakfast ; need car to get to hotel (you don't want to hike up that steep road) ; most of the staff was friendly and helpful

“Beautiful views.”

This is a very nice hotel. Definitely need a car. The adjoining restaurant is excellent. Stefano, the night manager, was very friendly and very helpful. Grazie Stefano. We highly reccomend this hotel.

“A quiet relaxing hotel”

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Its a bit out of the way and you need a car when you stay there. Th hotel could have had a few more amenieties like a swimming pool or such, as this would have beeen lovely to come back to after a day walking around Florence.The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff are helpful.

“great if you have a car and sat nav”

Not easy to find - and up a very steep hill, (advise car and Sat Nav!) however everything else was great - including the view from the top of the hill. Restaurent below it great, not that cheap, but not bad either, and nice staff and food. breakfast basic but ok, and a 15 min drive to florence. Overall recommended - if you have a car!

“Very good value for money”

Day reception spoke very good English and he was well informed. Evening reception was a bit of a struggle with the English, but overall a very nice place to stay. Views were lovely.
