Building smelled fresh. Pool area is large and clean. Our room was clean and smelled nice. Bed wasn't very comfortable but pillows are. No issue with noise in hallways. Breakfast is hot and fresh with sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit yogurt, eggs etc..milk, juice and coffee.

Check in agent was not pleasant to deal with. Could hear dogs barking all night-one right next door to us. I addressed it with the night staff but nothing changed. Pool was closed for cleaning. Morning staff was very helpful and wonderful to work with!

The price I paid was not worth the stay, the first room had a stain on the bed and hair on the pillows, they moved me to another room and it was hair in the fridge and the TV had damage to it. I got some disinfectant wipes and just wiped the room and fridge down, I didn't want to keep moving from room to room.

Great Stay
Our stay was great. We only stayed 1 night in the king room with an indoor balcony and jacuzzi. The room was great, no complaints. It was large, clean, and the balcony overlooking the pool was unique. Bed was comfy and the morning breakfast was good. The guy checking us in was extremely friendly and professional. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself was in pretty good shape. Our room was clean upon check-in and housekeeping checked in daily. Front desk service varied, but was overall efficient and friendly. Breakfast room staff were helpful, but breakfast was underwhelming. I understand what to expect from hotel continental breakfasts, but could have done without the microwaved eggs and sausage in crock pots in favor or maybe a wider fruit variety or muffins, etc. The main reason for booking here was the pool, which was overall a good experience, but it was clear that the pool room was not cleaned during it's closed hours. Towels were hardly stocked but dirty towels remained around the space from the night before. Although the rules stated no food or drink in the pool area, remnants from dinner and drinks also remained. I'm chalking it up to being short staffed and would overall be willing to book here again in the future.

Very Disappointing
We arrived around 9:45, and were told when we asked that we could not use the pool, altho it was posted to be open until 12. I thought that I had reserved 2 queen sized beds, but that was not the case. This might be because the first room we were given a key for was inaccessible because the key wouldn't work. Then at 2:50 am, another guest was lighting off very loud fireworks, waking us all up!

We are truly sorry that you didn't have a good stay with us here at the Baymont Inn. Regarding the pool being closed, the only thing I can think of is that the pool closes "for children" at 10pm. From 10pm to midnight is "Adult Only" swim time. I took over the management of this hotel just a few weeks ago and will be looking at all areas of the hotel for ways to improve our service. We hope that you will us another chance, should you travels bring you back this way, to show you what Hoosier Hospitality is all about.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and I felt safe, the only problem is the size of the beds and rooms should be updated.

But in ou business, since we are open year round, we have to work around conventions and large events in the city. We wouldn't want to have rooms out of order during a peak event. Definitely does not meet the rating.
We can't understand why this hotel has such a high rating. The one good thing it has going for it is that all of the staff were nice and helpful. We arrived around 8pm and had to wait for around 15 minutes for the front desk staff to return so that we could check in. The hotel (mainly the lobby) smelled of weed each evening. The carpet in our room felt dingy and it was gross to walk on without shoes. The wall in the bathroom and above the sink area was yellowed. The microwave was broken and was a fire hazard (they did change it with a new one the second day). The hot tub was as expected. The swimming pool was too cold. The pictures of the pool area make it look really nice when it is actually very dated and a bit dirty. The beds are also very soft and made our backs hurt. Breakfast wasn't that great either. We had to wait too long for the waffle mix to be refilled and two of us got a stomach ache after breakfast. We went elsewhere the second morning. The bathroom light in the public bathroom in the hallway did not work and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to illuminate it. All things considered, it served its purpose. However, we were glad we were not staying any longer than we did.

I can assure you that we are working on all of these issues, and some others, in order to improve our overall guest service. I truly believe that you can't fix something if you don't know it's broke; and with just taking over the property, you gave me an insight to some things that are broke.
