Nice hotel, good amenities-hot breakfast included

Pros: Near a lot of activity in Indy. Good shopping nearby and plenty of restaurant choices. Close enough to the stadium and that activity as well.
Went to the Big Ten Championship game and spent two nights in the hotel. Nice area that is close enough to the stadium activities. Fun weekend.

Miserable stay

Very dissatisfied. The main entrance was being renovated and there was very little effort done to keep it clear of construction materials and trash, the toilet did not flush well, the AC/heat unit was very loud and most disturbing of all was the refusal by the front desk to provide me a copy of my receipt. Their excuse was it was hotel policy not to do since I reserved my stay through a third party agency. I have done that countless times at other hotels and have never been refused a receipt. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Hotel fine but service was lacking

We arrived around 8:00 pm and the night desk clerk was very unattentive. We did not have sheets for the sofa bed and he was nowhere to be found. We called the front desk but there was no answer. The morning desk attendant seemed much better. The hotel was clean but there was a pair of sweat pants left in the room when we arrived.

Nice location

The front door was stuck open when we arrived and we had to wait several minutes to check in because nobody was at the front desk. They only had one employee working and he was dealing with a problem in the hotel. Other than that our stay was good.

Nice Hotel

Breakfast plentiful, great coffee. Clean food area. Room itself clean but nightstands had junk in them from other people. So did dresser. shower clean and towels nice. could not get in hotel from other end one night because keys would not work. overall great stay and will stay there again.

Scary

When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was how dark it is around the hotel. There were red lights coming up the side of the building which only added to the spookiness of the initial sighting of the hotel. I know it is out of their control that their carport was demolished by a truck trying to clear it. But because of this, it looked run down, and there was caution tape and wood boarding up the front entrance. If anyone arrives to check in at the hotel after dark (which many traveling for business will!), you would think you were entering into a haunted house. This made for a very uneasy stay. The actual room and bed were nice but the initial thought about the hotel and having very little light outside made me feel uncomfortable to leave to get dinner or to move about the hotel. I feel like they should have made a note about the current condition of the hotel so customers aren't caught off guard when they arrive. I probably will not choose to stay at this location again.

Please allow me to apologize for the lack of light around the building. When the canopy was hit by the truck the outside lights were connected to the canopy lights. We have fixed the lighting issue, and have opened up the front entrance. Our canopy is still under repair, as we are waiting on our permit to get it rebuilt. The hotel main entrance was closed due to structural issues. Had to walk to side entrance to get into hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. The clerk behind the desk seemed bored, not very hospitable.

Old building not up to my standard.

Pros: Breakfast was good and staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons: Everything in the building.
Location: Restaurants, shopping, races, concerts, etc all nearby.
Old building. Things are deteriorating and thus giving effect of dirty room. The toilet does not flush very well. The shower curtain would not stay closed. Shower too small and overall not pleasant. The curtains were broken. There was a poor attempt to put a screw in them to hold them together but as soon as we went to close the curtains the screws fell out and the curtains would not close properly. The room smells musty or stale. The refrigerator does not get very cold. I will pay a little more next time to stay in a different facility. The only positive was the breakfast and the hotel staff. I will not stay at this hotel chain again unless it is the only choice.
