Just a get away

Posted Jun 23, 2014
We spoke with the concierge about a place for dinner and she discovered that it was our anniversary and was disappointed that she hadn't known earlier. Promised us that if we ever came back she'd make it up to us. We will go back, the rooms and location are fantastic.

Good spot for the Indy mini

We wanted a hotel convenient for the Indy mini. The Conrad staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel and pool were beautiful.

Luxury Hotel?

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Very little for its overpriced fees.
Cons: Training the staff to answer a few questions about their own city and providing free access to the internet to your guests would be a start.
If you think that a marble lobby and some artwork make for a "luxury hotel," the Conrad Indianapolis would satisfy you. If you want any amenities or a trained staff that can answer a simple question about the city in which the hotel is located avoid this hotel and, certainly, don't pay the exorbitant prices they charge for services not provided. I attended a conference in Indianapolis so hoped to also get some work done during my stay; however, since the hotel has no free Wifi service in its guest rooms that couldn't happen. The staff suggested that I could sit in the lobby where you could get access but I didn't pay for a room to then sit in the lobby. Also, I made a few inquiries about the city's art museum and gallery area to which the front desk person could tell me nothing. Moreover, when I asked about the airport shuttle the desk staff didn't know anything about it. If the Conrad aspires to luxury, they might want to visit a hotel where actual luxurious amenities and guest services are provided.

Pampered!

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: Comfy bed, modern bathroom. Good exercise facilities. Excellent location.
Location: Near convention center. Plenty of decent chain restaurants: Cali Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang's, Buca di Peppo.
In Indianapolis for a conference, so I was looking for a 3+ star hotel in downtown that was reasonably priced. The Conrad was convenient to the convention center and restaurants. Super comfy pillows and bed. Bathroom had separate bath and shower. Exercise facilities were clean and in good condition--three treadmills. And I even got a massage in the Aveda spa--and treated myself to the steam room. Pretty pampered for a business trip!!

Great Location in Downtown Indy

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, Friendliness and Room Amenities
Location: Lots of nice restaurants, including Champps Sports Bar which is great for a few Happy Hour drinks. The mall is right across the street.
We stayed here for our anniversary and it was such a great decision! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and nice card. We enjoyed the spa facilities- the only downfall is the sauna and steam room are located within the spa locker rooms so you cannot enjoy them together. Our room was very spacious and clean. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice amenity. Our room was a bit loud because we were located next to the elevator and you could hear every time the elevator was going up or down. We did dine in the Capitol Grill for breakfast- we had vouchers for breakfast or we would not have. The price is a little much for breakfast. However, there are many other options nearby. The location is wonderful to enjoy all kinds of shopping, museums, and eateries. We walked everywhere and had a really nice time.
