“Enjoyed the stay”

“Close to airport and downtown.”

Room was clean and staff was polite. $3.00 for a 20oz. bottle of soda was a lil over the top. Word of caution, due to a whole bunch of road work in the area, getting to the airport is a little tricky.

“Excellent Stay”

Despite its location near the old airport in Indianapolis, this hotel does a thriving business! The customer service is excellent with very friendly, helpful staff! The entry of the hotel is newly remodeled, and renovations of their rooms apparently will begin next year. I have stayed here several times and have been very pleased with my stay each time! For travelers new to Indianapolis, there is considerable road construction near the hotel (Highways 465 and 70) with poor signage. There are no good restaurants nearby, but the hotel is not too far from downtown which has some excellent places for dinner!

“We'll stay here again!”

We were impressed with the cleanliness of this property and the staff was courteous and attentive. The breakfast bistro was just fine, as well. The courtyard was very nice and well maintained. However, the indoor pool was so-so, the same as most hotel pools. I would recommend this facility to other travelers, especially to those attending events at Indy Speedway. We could drive to the speedway in about 10 minutes without using the interstates.

Area recommendations

Unfortunately, most every street or area that we visited in Indy this weekend looked "economically depressed" except for the shopping areas at the Centre downtown near the ball park. Lots of road construction and closed businesses on the west side where we stayed.

Dining

We had a tough time locating nice restaurants. We found one great exception on 36th Street, just west of I-465. At the Air Park, there is a restaurant called Rick's that is situated on a small lake. The nautical floor plan was open with lots of natural light and the food was pricey but delicious. I had the Saturday night Prime Rib and it was awesome. We would highly recommend a dinner at Rick's to anyone visiting Indy!
