Pros: Suites very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast staff very harried from dealing with large numbers of children and teenagers.
Not the place for a quiet romantic weekend - hotel was filled with children and their parents and large groups of teenagers attending sports competitions. Good value and parking. Rooms are comfortable.

Below average until upgraded.

Our first room had a broken toilet and no temperature control. Our room was too hot and couldn't be regulated because they had no way of cooling it during the winter. When the manager upgraded to another suite with temperature it was much better.

We traveled with our three children and needed a larger room or suite and chose Embassy Suites. The only plus was the location. The rooms were terribly outdated. The carpeting in the room was dirty. My kids socks and pjs were dirty from sitting and walking on the carpet. The hotel has a policy of no AC in the winter months. Our room was sweltering. Even with the window open and ceiling fan on, we were all roasting. There were no pillows or blankets provided for the pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs coming through the mattress. The room had a coffee maker that did not work. Also had a refrigerator which froze the food and medicine we had. The bathroom was small. The toilet was not connected properly to the wall or floor (my husband is a carpenter and noticed this). The tub/shower combo was poorly maintained as far as the caulking. The water pressure was almost non-existent. Free breakfast was provided, but it ok at best. Pastries were stale, french toast overcooked, scrambled eggs under cooked. It was a very busy weekend, but the hotel did not keep up with demand at breakfast and you were left waiting for plates, silverware and food to be replenished. Also the swimming pool was overly chlorinated. We will be traveling to Indy again and I would not recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Staff!

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Clean, convenient and pleasant staff.
Cons: Information and blankets
Location: Many restaurants, too busy to do anything else.
Pros: Convenient to the convention center, clean and comfortable, pleasant staff. Cons: The path to the convention center was closed one night and we were not informed that this would happen or instructed to an alternate route, need a mid-level blanket on the beds; sheets are not enough the comforter too warm, our associates asked for advice and arriving to the hotel from the airport and were not informed of the downtown shuttle for $10/person (much cheaper than a taxi and very convenient).

Pros: Location
The hotel is dated, the breakfast offerings don't live up to normal Embassy standards. The location is great and very convenient with the indoor walkways that can take you to the convention center, shopping and fine dining.

Terrific experience!

Pros: Sparkling clean room, great front desk staff. Easy parking
We had a great weekend in Indianapolis for a Colt's game. Everyone from the front desk staff to the concierge couldn't have been more accommodating.

Convenient to Downtown

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Location, decent room size.
Cons: Staff should be more responsive to guests requests. Newly renovated rooms should have better A/C controls
Well-located in the downtown area. Parking was a little unusual (tight turns, poorly marked), but worked pretty well. Bed was comfortable, air quality was not - room was too hot and no way to remedy. A ceiling fan recirculating hot air doesn't cool enough.

Good hotel for the price with a few problems

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Stayed overnight at Embassy. Managers reception and breakfast buffet were a nice feature. Bellhop was excellent and friendly but overall staff were nothing special. Room was very warm. We were unable to get it cooler besides propping door open and even then was still warm. We would return if price was reasonable

Great location and comfortable accommodations! Very clean and breakfast was very good. Only thing I could recommend is to extend breakfast during the week until 10:30 for those of us that prefer to sleep in some.
