Perfect stay

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: The location was great. Right outside the Lucas Oil Stadium and close to great restaurants.
Cons: More parking would be nice.
Location: The football stadium is right out the front door, close to all downtown Indy has to offer.
From the minute we parked the car when we first arrived, to the time we checked out, the Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Downtown Convention Center was perfect. The front desk staff was kind and helpful, the housekeeping staff we encountered in the hall outside the room were very pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and roomy and clean. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was nice and hot! Our room was on the 6th floor and the Lucas Oil Stadium neon was our night lite! It was a great experience!

We flew straight into Indianapolis for a wedding, and the drive from Indianapolis airport to downtown hotel was easy and fast for us.

OK hotel close to convention center

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the convention center and breakfast
Basic hotel with good breakfast buffet. Checked in on a very crowded weekend (major event at Lucas Oil Stadium right across the street). Not much activity at night in the immediate area and it is a good 10-20 minute walk to restaurants. The only difficulties were that my key code was changed the day before I left which required extra trip to the front desk and someone kept dialling my room for pizza. The quick dial buttons on the phone didn't work and there was no ready explanation of how to get rid of the annoying blinking message light. Front desk did help with that.

Nice Indy hotel

Posted Jul 12, 2014
We had no running water when we arrived and didn't get it for a few hours, so that wasn't good!!! But, it was fixed and working well when we got back to our hotel late that night. There was a note about it after we returned that night. No one informed us ahead of time at the desk, though. Probably not wanting to make more problems for themselves, but a "heads up" would have been a nice thing to do. The bed was big, but made creaking noises whenever you moved. It was a nice size room!! Also, the outlet to the hairdryer did not work!! I liked the room and it had a couch, desk, couple of chairs as well as a frig-that was very nice to have!! It was a nice little area with a sink, too! All in all, it was a nice place and I would stay there again, if I knew there would be no problems with the water working. The water and the outlet can be fixed pretty easily I imagine, so with that especially, I would stay there again.

Layover in Indy

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Location is great!
Cons: Parking spaces are limited.
Location: You can walk accross the street and be at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Stopped there during a layover and could enjoy a walk in downtown. Location is pretty good. There was no games happening.
