Very nice

It was very nice. We enjoyed that they had a sound machine. Though it was probably quiet enough without it. It was very clean. We miss the free breakfast but would come back just the same :)

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We will let Housekeeping know you were pleased. As a full service Holiday Inn, this tier does not offer free breakfast, but there is a breakfast package available (best for breakfast) that is a great value. The "Express and Staybridge" hotels with IHG offer continental breakfast with the room.

Thumbs Up

Posted Feb 23, 2015 on Hotels
I love this area.. High end upscale area. This place has become my favorite in the whole area. The staff is excellent. They allowed early check in and then also allowed late check out. It has its little things that aren't so great like no doors on the closet and the tv controller was useless...but I enjoyed the stay very much and will again.

We love you too !! The "Open" closets were the designers idea. (we are not a big fan either, lol) We will check on the remote. THANKS AGAIN !

Our stay

Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels
Room was warm, and very comfortable. Staff was very courteous and very helpful. Even just to be polite. Only suggestion would be to not have such tissue paper type toilet paper, or such sandpaper type kleenex's.

Ouch, sorry you did not like our tissues. (both types) We have had few comments about that, but we will ask more guests. THANKS !!!!

An OK place to stay

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: It was perfectly located, relative to our planned weekend activities.
Location: Shopping, comedy club, restaurants nearby
An acceptable place to stay. Room overlooked the nearby (very close) interstate. We're rural folks, so the interstate traffic noise made it harder to sleep. A white noise generator was in the room, but we didn't use it. Whirlpool was out of commission.

We are within close access to the interstate; however all the rooms on that side of the building are triple pane windows. We do have rooms that face our lovely courtyard and the corporate garden park. We hope you will come back and try us again.

Impressive

Posted Jan 31, 2015 on Hotels
Very nice hotel. The curb appeal is very royal and entering the building is a modern decor and very spacious. Room was pretty and nicely updated. It's so nice to see crisp clean draperies that hang nicely and not filthy so many are. The only thing I don't like with this brand is the closets have no door and are completely open. It gives a tacky appearance but it's the only draw back here. I would recommend highly.

Thank you for your kind comments. I have to agree that when the Interior designer proposed the new "look", there were mixed feelings. They "felt" it would be more modern and "open". Oh well, I guess that is why my wife does not let me decorate too. Hope to see you again.

service

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: extremely long walk from the lobby to the rooms poor layout
The bar service was fantastic! My room had cold air blowing all night and when I told the front desk in the am, she did not even apologize for the discomfort. Things can happen but an I am so sorry about that would have been nice let a lone an offer for the discomfort.

You are absolutely correct and I apologize. We have spoken to our team members again and we really do a great job over all. This is a great example of ONE person affecting an entire stay. Likewise we have given kudos to Kyle at the bar from that night too! The fan on the A/C does run when on to help circulate the temp, but we could turn that off if requested. Thanks again for letting us know.

Great Hotel with a great staff

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: fireplace in lobby, beautiful courtyard(will be really nice in the spring) comfortable beds, good food and great staff
Cons: getting rid of the satellite TV and going to cable . The manager told me they were working on that
Location: we were there for an appointment to the eye institute and it was very convienent jump on meridian st and you can get to almost anything in indy
Check in was fast and friendly, hotel was very pleasing inside beautiful lobby. Got to our room and was everything we hoped for a clean, quiet , comfortable room with nice updates. We had some problems with the TV not displaying the channels that were listed on the guide. The staff was really responsive and quickly sent someone up to reprogram our TV, we were excited because the Colts playoff game was on CBS. When we changed the channel to what we thought was CBS we ended up with a different channel unable to get the Colts game we went downstairs to the bar to watch the game . I couldn't understand how the bar TV got the game but my room didn't. Was greeted by Kyle the bartender who by the way is really a great guy, suggested some great food and enjoyed a Colts win! At checkout I told the desk staff about the TV problems and the manager John came out and apologized for any inconviences and promptly gave my wife and I a free breakfast(which was very good) he went above and beyond to make it up to us. This really meant a lot that they have such great management and staff that care for your needs. Cant wait to go back!!

pleasant stay

Posted Jan 15, 2015 on Hotels
Good service and clean and well equipped room. Breeakfast was over all well stocked but they didn't have waffles or pancakes for those who want that stuff. Room heater seemed to be blasting us and we turned it down several times and finally to fan mode to keep from overheating.

John, Thanks for letting us know about the heater issue. We will check it out. I like waffles too, but we get a lots of comments about too many bread items. We "may" sneak a waffle maker in the back for both of us.
