Front Staff Incompetent

Pros: Honestly, nothing.
Cons: New shuttle transportation. The inside of the van was awful. Electrical and packaging tape were holding things together inside. Very old and dingy.
This room was pre-paid through Expedia. When I got to the hotel, they took my bank card for incidentals, and I confirmed with them that the room was pre-paid and that I would be paying for the parking with cash upon checkout. They confirmed. I left in the morning and decided to put the parking on my card, and that should have been the end of it. When I got to my destination (1000 miles away) that night, I noticed they had charged my room for a 1 night stay (which was more than the original prepayment amount)! I called to have them reverse the charge and instead, they charged my card again. And again, and again. Multiple charges on my account...which drained my bank accounts - both my checking and savings. I do not own credit cards and do not use them. Here I am 1000 miles away from home, with ZERO money. All the money I had in the world was gone. They attempted to refund the money, but since it was a weekend, nothing was in my account until I contacted the bank and had them reverse the authorizations. I finally had money back in my account the day before I was to come back from my vacation. What was supposed to be a vacation with my family turned into a stressful nightmare. The incompetence of the staff as well as the lax attitude of the management and corporation is horrible. They offered me a free night stay at the same hotel in the future. I don't have money to travel. This was a trip that's been in the making for 5 years, so I don't see myself going back anytime soon.

Economical hotel

Nothing special. Nothing terrible. The staff was nice. Just a little dated. No fridge in my room, and my key didn't work and needed fixed twice. But the staff was nice and it was clean for the most part.

Clean fhotel convenient location

The only problem was another guest was walking 2 dogs, one a pit bull terrier, off lead that came running at me and my 10 week puppy. It was not mean but it was scary. The breakfast was lacking any hot foods.

The staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. But the upkeep was awful. The halls smelled, the carpet was moist, hair in the sink and on the tile. The space for breakfast was tidy, but not clean

Would not go back to this hotel

Room had strong mold and cigarette odor. Confirmed booking for King bed but when we arrived they no longer had this available so had to take two single beds. Hotel caters for animals so had to put up with barking dog in next room. In town for Rolling Stones concert so most hotels booked out, otherwise would have gone elsewhere.

Pros: The room was spacious, beds comfortable, hot water in shower. Housekeeping was pleasant when asked to hold off cleaning our room for 30 minutes while we got ready to leave. Had a pet and wasn't charged extra. Cons: the building is old, ***there was a dirty hand towel hanging when we arrived. (Someone had just turned in a key while we were stating they decided not to stay and that he only was in the room for a few minutes, so our room may have been his) Tub needed refinishing. Breakfast was sparse, ran out of some of the food. No elevator, only stairs to second floor - would be difficult for someone with a lot or heavy luggage.

Long weekend at Indy

Hotel was nice. Check in was very quick and easy. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were there to watch the Indy 500 over Memorial weekend, and this hotel was only 15 minutes from track. Only suggestions I have is, more outlets near the beds would be helpful. Also, for the size of the place, the dining area should be bigger.

Pros: Location, beds.
Cons: Carpet cleanliness and musty smell of the room.
Room carpet was dirty, room had a musty smell, bathroom was OK , beds and pillows were very comfortable. Understaffed for race weekend; had to wait over 15 minutes for the front desk clerk who was taking care of a problem with a stopped up toilet. Ran out of breakfast items on last morning. Location was perfect for getting to and from the Speedway.

Pros: Everything
Location: We were going to 8 Seconds Saloon for a confederate railroad concert, motel was about 2 miles from the event. Nice restaurants close by.
Great motel, clean room, easy to find, staff wonderful, close to the event I was attending.

Please think twice before staying there.

I was laying on bed watching tv for about an hour when i decided to turn off the tv and call it a nite before big trip. As i sat up and turned toward the light switch I glanced back towards bed and saw that the pillow that my head was resting on was covered in bugs. I freaked out and called front desk. I was booked into another room but did not sleep all nite as I was busy checking for bugs.
