Don't Stay Here

First room we were given, the first 2 key cards didn't work. When we finally got in, the room reeked of smoke even though the sign clearly said no smoking. The second room had unmade beds, trash, and used glasses spread all over the room, the third room had damp sheets which had yellow stains, and damp and sticky floors. Luckily we had a blanket of our own in the car to use as an alternative to their discusting sheets. The only positive note was that the receptionist was extremely patient, understanding, and kind. Other than that, this hotel was completely unacceptable.

Hotel was hard to find.

Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Overall update. New carpets and new bed linens, including comforters. The room was hard to keep temperature at a comfortable rate.
Location: There was not much around the hotel, but we knew Indianapolis pretty well and were able to get to downtown Indianapolis pretty easy.
We rented Quality Inn Airport in Indianapolis, thinking we were getting a hotel near the airport. It was, but at the old airport. Therefore, it was not near anything really. Thank goodness, we know the area well, having lived nearby for several years. But, when we entered, the carpets were almost black with many years of people walking through the halls. The inside of the rooms were not updated to today's standards. I am sure when the old airport was there, it was in better shape. But, the room and bathroom were pretty clean and we were there for only one night.

Clister the clerk was very pleasant and informative about the area. The room was clean! Even the corners of the bathroom and behind the toilet. Only down was the deodorant used in cleaning the hallway carpet.

Hotel stay on 08-13-14

Pros: We were able to leave our vehicle at the hotel while we flew out of town on vacation.
Cons: Clean the rooms before assigning them to another guest.
Location: Airport.
We were given a room that had not been cleaned after the last guest had left. This was at approximately 8:00 PM. There were wet towels on the bathroom floor and the bed was still pulled back from when the last guest had gotten out of bed. We had a reservation for this night and evidently they were not ready for us to occupy the room. After returning to the front desk and informing the clerk he did give us another room. My wife has difficulty walking very far and to go from the front desk to the 4th floor to the far end of the hotel and back it was almost too much. Then to go back up to the new room was more than enough. Another guest we met said that it was no surprise that the room had not been made yet. She said that the housekeeping really sucks. I have to agree with her after our experience.

Not terrible for the price

Location: About a 10 minute drive to the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
I stayed on the third floor facing the freeway. The hallway on the third floor smell smokey to me. The noise from freeway traffic was not effectively kept out by the windows. The paint was peeling off the walls in the shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was good.

Needs a good cleaning, painting, landscaping

Pros: Well, it was available. And now I know why.
Cons: Cleanliness, smell, TVs.
Everything about the hotel had a grimy, gross feeling about it. The walls looked like they hadn't been painted in a decade, with scuff marks everywhere. The hallways smelled like cheap deodorizer and the wallpaper near the elevators was peeling away badly. Many of the windows were fogged over from poor sealing jobs. The glass on the front doors looks like it hadn't seen a bottle of Windex in weeks. The television in the room got about 10 channels, but none of them in anything remotely resembling good reception. The parking lot was strewn with cigarette butts and the landscaping was in dire need of work. The whole place made me want to check back out and just drive back and forth from Evansville to Indianapolis for the weekend instead of staying the night.
