ダウンタウンど真ん中の由緒あるホテル

ロケーションが抜群。 歴史を感じさせる重厚なホテルで、設備は古めだが管理が行き届いおり快適でした。ただし料金も相応なので、格安旅行には不適

Pros: Location, Old World, elegant feeling.
Location: Close to everything you could want to see in Indy since it is in the very center of Downtown.
The valets that assisted us unloading our car at the entrance when I dropped off my passengers to return my rental car, were very helpful. The taxi arrangements were handled smoothly for our early morning departure. The location right on Monument Circle is iconic. I was anticipating a view of the Circle but was sadly disappointed looking at the side and roof of the bldg. next store. Although clean, the room itself felt crowded, the double beds more like twins. I felt the room rate was overpriced as well. We were only there for 14 hours so this may not be a fair assessment.

Less than satisfied with Columbia Club

Posted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed in this establishment in the past but a recent change in their policy communicated at check in means I will not be staying there again. The "positive" -location: great, staff: friendly, and the accommodations: dated but sufficient ( the bed was uncomfortable - but can be a matter of personal taste). The policy change is the clincher for our dissatisfaction. At check in we were required to sign a form indicating we would not bring outside food and drink into the club (excluding drinking cups, if we were finishing a beverage from a local coffee shop or like establishment). Late that night we were desiring a late night desert (and the kitchen was closed) we walked to the closest Starbucks to get a beverage and pastry to take back to the room. We had our pastries in a bag along with our 2 beverages but were stopped quite adamantly by the valets and declined entrance into the hotel. I was surprised, the rule was so strict but we said alright and moved to the outside chairs (there was no-one seated there). We were informed we could not sit there either. I suspect the hotel has new management of its restaurant and this is their policy. I could see not allowing food in the common areas and during open kitchen hours, but to make it such an encompassing rule is a tad extreme. As this is not a property turning guests away due to capacity they could be friendlier to the ones choosing to stay with them.

Hotel right in Monument Circle

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The downtown location, big washroom.
Cons: If they can make it a bit more modern, brighter lighting, etc.
Location: Right inside Monument Circle so the location is perfect for downtown Indianapolis.
The Conrad and The Alexander were booked up for MotoGP weekend, so this was the third best option. It's right in the Monument Circle, so the night life and downtown access right outside the hotel door steps. It's an older fancy hotel and for some reason the price was really cheap for MotoGP weekend in August. The only bad thing was the parking. They have to valet the car and it's expensive. It's better to find nearby parking garages and park yourself over night for a lot cheaper.

Last resort

I only stayed here because every other hotel downtown was booked. I have been traveling to Indianapolis at least twice a month for 5 years for work. I've stayed in almost every hotel downtown. The Columbia Club would not allow me to bring in the takeout I grabbed so I was forced to eat it outside across the street. The room had dated decor and yucky carpet. Tiny and uncomfortable beds. The bathroom was gross with stains on the walls and gunk around the fixtures. For how "exclusive" they are and how "men's club" the lobby decor is you would think they'd take more pride in their rooms. I would prefer to stay outside of the city and drive in next time. My least favorite downtown hotel to date.

Excellent service, terrible room.

I wanted to get a nice hotel for my wife for our overnight stay. The outside of the hotel was nice and the staff was extremely nice. However, the room was extremely small (about 2 feet from end of bed to TV) and hot water was lacking. For what we paid, I expected a nicer room. It looked like a room you'd get in a Holiday Inn or any other chain hotel.

Fantastic Location on the Circle

Columbia Club right in the middle of downtown activities. MotoGP and motorcycles on Meridian provided ample entertainment.

Great Hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
I paid for a Club King room and was put in a very small room in the corner with a view of the parking ramp. Lights from the ramp shined in my window all night because the curtains are sheer and there are no blackout blinds.

Great Old School Hotel

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Location: Great restaurants, spa, nightlife. Everything is in walking distancel.
This boutique hotel has great older architecture but has updated rooms. Great staff, excellent level of service. We would definitely stay here again. Excellent location right on Monument Circle in the heart of downtown Indianapolis
