Clean and comfortable

Pros: It was perfectly suitable for the trip.
Cons: Nothing at this time.
Location: Tons of food, bars, shops and sport venues.
It was a great stay. I felt safe, clean and the room was very quiet. There were very nice views from the room.

Great stay - nice time!

Comfortable beds, quiet cool rooms ( what we wanted!). Night staff was "on it" when we requested additional towels due to kids and a 3 day stay. Excellent and curteous staff, specifically maintenance personnel that were working on projects while we were there. On the pricy side, but you get what you pay for. Will definately consider this location for future visits. Internet options are BS and parking is a scam! ...bring walking shoes or a loaded credit card!

Perfect for GenCon!

Smooth and trouble-free stay. Got free wi-fi because I booked so far in advance through Expedia, as well as access to the "State Room" for free brekkie and snacks (they kept that room very cold, though, in my opinion). Room was great, nice view of downtown Indy. And I couldn't beat the location, right across the street from the convention centre. All in all I think I got value for my money!

NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable, but as far as service it was terrible. I have stayed at a lot of other hotels that cost a 1/4 of the Westin and had much better service and the same cleanliness and comfort levels. When I'm paying $475 for a room I expect it to be ready when I check in and the room I booked. Check in was at 3pm, I showed up at 6:15pm to check in and they had no rooms available like I booked and tried to get me to settle for a cheaper room with 2 beds. I had to check in my bags and wait for a room. I'm just glad we had reservations at the hotels steak house at 7. Also valet parking was a joke. I called valet 20 minutes before we checked out so our car would be ready. When we got down to were the car should have been we had to wait an additional 20 minutes because they forgot to bring our car up!!! I will not be returning to the Westin downtown indianapolis unless its for free!!

For $400 per night it was horrible. I would have rather stayed at at super 8. Parking my car cost $35 per day and the lounge at steakhouse service was horrific

Tried it to compare to Chicago Westin

Pros: Heavenly bed. Starbucks on premise.
Cons: More shower pressure and more adjustments for the shower wand, both directional and stream type.
Location: LOTS of stuff to do. Piano Bar, Circle Center mall, great restaurants, movie theater, connected to convention center, Lucas Oil Stadium.
I had an EXCELLENT stay at the Chicago some years ago and wanted to see if the Indy Westin was as nice. It was not, although it was still a nice stay. If you have to chose between the Marriott next door and the Westin, just see which one is cheaper that particular week. They're both nice. The heavenly bed is always welcoming. The shower wasn't nearly as heavenly as the one in Chicago. I think the Westin should pay for parking their customer's cars in the underground parking garage.
