Good, Convenient Hotel

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Location and convenience
Location: Keystone at the Crossing across the street; numerous shopping opportunities and several restaurants very close by.
We were pleased with this hotel. The only "issue", if you would even call it that, was parking...had to park at the opposite end of the building as all spots in front were taken. Probably just timing, but the area to park between the buildings is limited.

Coming Back!

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: I liked everything except what was mentioned above
Cons: Housekeeping should be available to clean the room and replace towels and other things more than once. If you sleep in, your room does not get cleaned
I had a wonderful stay at this facility for the week end. It is a gem. Felt like a home away from home. My only issue is housekeeping only comes by once a day and if they are unable to access your room , they do not clean it and they don't come back. The bed in one of the rooms had a strong urine odor and when we requested clean sheets and tried to replace them, there was a large stain on the mattress where the odor was coming from. I feel the mattress should have been replaced prior to our visit. Other than that, very happy with the hotel

Thank you so much for your comments about the hotel. I am sorry to hear that your room did not get cleaned. Housekeeping typically will go back to the room if you have a sign on the door. I do apologize that did not happpen.

Convenient location

Posted May 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Conveniently located off of the expressway. There is a mall with a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance, as well as a liquor store, and a very good breakfast spot (Ruth's Cafe) in the strip mall next door. My only complaint is that the walls were a little thin so we could hear our neighbors' every word.

Stay Ruined by Hotel Renovation

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: I USED to like the hotel but now I think management is deceitful for renting out inferior rooms at the standard rate. I'll never stay there again.
Cons: Stop renting out rooms until your hotel renovation is complete. Or TELL people what they are getting in to and offer a discount or something.
Location: Park. Because good luck finding anything in the lot near the entrance during the construction.
I have stayed at TownePlace Suites a few times in the past when visiting Indianapolis, my home town, for weddings, funerals, reunions, and the like. My friends and I once rented out EVERY room on an entire floor during a reunion. I am from Los Angeles. I work nights. I go to sleep at 2:00 a.m. and awaken at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. But because the hotel was under renovation, there was loud hammering and other construction noise DIRECTLY BENEATH MY BED, starting at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time - three hours after I go to sleep. I was in town for my mother's funeral and couldn't get more than a few hours sleep any night I was there as a result of the early morning hammering. If that wasn't bad enough... the hot water heater didn't work (it never got hot and the warm water ran cold within a few minutes when showering because the water was constantly running elsewhere at all times). Plus, the garbage disposal didn't work AT ALL -- so the sink was clogged the entire time I was there. I had to fish garbage out of the disposal with my bare hands. You'd think with all the construction workers on site, the room would not be in need of any repair. There were also construction trucks and dumpsters blocking the main lot -- so visitors had to park in SUB ZERO weather, around the back of the building and walk in the freezing darkness around to the front entries.

Maybe better at a different time...

Posted Apr 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was undergoing a facelift. They were installing new carpet in the hallways which created a horrible stench, mess, and noise. The front desk manager was incredibly rude upon check in and throughout the stay. The surrounding area of the hotel was nice, close to restaurants and shopping. However, it is very far from downtown and the airport. I will most likely not stay there again because of the rude greeting/stay and location from airport/downtown.

Nice hotel

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The set up of suites
Cons: Their breakfast area was small right in the lobby they had some foods available but no microwave to heat them up in.
Location: shopping and dining
Rooms were very nice. If you planned on staying for more than a couple of days they had everything you would need if you wanted to cook instead of eat out. Hotel was convenient to everything around food, shopping, ect..

Great experience except for parking

Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: The rooms were being renovated and they had new flooring. The rooms were really clean and the beds were great.
Cons: Have a better selection for breakfast and keep it stocked. Get the construction crews to consolidate their storage areain the parking lot.
Location: I like to stay in what seems to be the safer side of Indy on the north side. Hotel is not noticeable from the main roads and is back by Kohls,
We had one of the rooms that had new flooring and I assume paint although you did not smell it. The room was really clean and nice. The hotel is in the midst of renovating the rooms. The hotel is sort of tucked away but this might not be a bad thing. We did like the hotel and will stay there again after the construction finishes. The pool is outside and closed for the season. The kitchen was clean and ready for travelers. Just really nice rooms and will be even better with the new furnishings. Their were two problems. The first was parking. We were lucky and parked out towards the street. Their is not enough parking at the hotel since the construction and renovation trailers take up some of the parking. People were parked along the curbs, between trees in the grass, etc. Do your self a favor... Park towards the entrance so you don't get trapped in there or take a chance on someone hitting your car. The second item was I believe the hotel was full. They did not have a good selection of some of the continental breakfast items unless you count on just eating cereal.
