Came to Indy to see the Rolling Stones. Best hotel experience for the money we have had in a long time. The hotel staff recommended a shuttle service and they were great too. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The next time we stay in Indy it will be at the Wyndham Indy West.

Really nicely appointed room, comfortable (although bed may be a little too soft for some). Excellent shuttle service to/from airport and to nearby car rental. Nice restaurant and snack bar. Couldn't has for more for the price! Thanks, Wyndham!

Good for a stopover

Nice clean place, safe environment, with both non-smoking and smoking rooms which didn't seem to be too near each other, but it IS near the airport, so a bit on the noisy side, although it didn't stop me from sleeping well. No in-room microwave or fridge, or free breakfast, which would have made me give this place a 4, and I couldn't send email with their free internet for some reason which I had no time to delve into, but it did have rolling luggage carts for my personal use and plenty of parking, which I appreciate in a hotel as opposed to a motel where my car is always quite handy. It was one of those unknown picks for a low price, so I'd say I got my money's worth for a stop on a cross-country trip, and I'd recommend it.

Close to race track

The room and front of the house staff was great.....but if you're looking to dine in the lounge, don't. It's a comfortable/relaxing atmosphere but the servers were all really very very rude. And the food was terrible. There were four of us who ALL had the same opinion. From the flat bread pizza (that was 1.2 inches thick and blah), to the Italian sandwich (the meat couldn't have been actual meat- it was disgusting), to the chicken fingers that had no taste and the sauces were odd.....lastly the steak salad- also odd tasting and cold grisly steak. We had to hail a server each time and they were not nice and seemed like they were so busy although they only had maybe 4-5 tables a piece. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I'm a pretty patient person and very understanding....but it was one of the worst experiences I've had anywhere. Stay at the hotel, don't eat there...

Pros: Close to the racetrack, no noise what-so-ever!
Great stay-clean, friendly staff, great restaurant right there on site.

Nice but could be better.

Coffee maker didn't work. Not enough Kleenex or Toilet paper for four adults in bathroom. The tree outside of our window would scrape against the glass. It sounded like someone constantly using a squeegee. Hard to sleep. Plus TV reception and cable wasn't good. There was no hotel book to tell us where we could order food from. We had to go all the way back to front desk for sheet of paper. Ice machine didn't work so had to use another one.

Indy weekend

The only problem I have is the lack of restaurants in the area. Everything else was great. Staff was friendly and there's a Starbucks in the lobby. Very close to the track also.

Not Good

Cons: Training on customer service
After being in our room 10 minutes, the maid uses her key card and just walks right in. She sees us, turns around, and walks out. She knocks on the door 5 minutes later and asked to get the previous guest's laundry that was left in the closet. The room's AC was horrible. The next day, the maid knocked on our door at 9:00am because they wanted to clean the room. Needless to say, that woke us up and we weren't happy. I had prepaid on Expedia, but there was a bill under my door when we left. I gave it to the hotel receptionist at check-out and she said she would take care of it. Well, my card was charged and I had to go through 2 different hotel staff to get my card credited. What a mess and I will never stay there again.

Not bad but not outstanding in guest services

Pros: Centrally located; snacks available round the clock
Cons: Upon check-in staff should explain check-out time ... phone did not work in room ... hallways reeked of some cleaning product.
Location: Near downtown and the IUPUI campus.
Should have asked for a handicapped room as our room was the furthest away from the front desk as you could get ... a very long walk for someone who has difficulty and is on disability ... just don't need all the other handicap requirements. Would only recommend with comments!
