Friendly, excellent location & good valuePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very central and just a few minutes walk from the main attractions of Tours. Although central, it is also situated on a quiet square (Place de la Resistance), which has plenty of parking. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very enjoyable. Overall, a very good hotel, with friendly staff and an excellent location - both central and quiet. Highly recommended.

great locatioPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
for a short stay in Tours this hotel is great. Situated on a square very near the main square where there are lots of places to eat, near river and in the old part of town. The reception is up 4 flights of stairs and the carpet could do with replacing but our room and bathroom were very clean, our bedroom had wooden floor and shower was large. WE had a small balcony overlooking the square with a busy restaurant underneath, but all was quiet by midnight. parking in the square is free after 18.30 and all day Sunday.

October 2011Posted Oct 20, 2011 on Hotels.com
Stayed one night in October 2011 as a wedding anniversary treat. The hotel is situated close to the old town which makes it easy to find restaurants etc. It was in a square which I thought might be noisy but in fact turned out to be quiet in fact never heard a sound from outside. the room was clean and spacious as was the en suite bathroom. There was a good breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. If i stay in tours again I would not hesitate to stay there.

It was really nice and right dowtown, not really close to where I was going but it worked out. Nice rooms and very helpful staff.

This hotel is much, much better than an 2 star. Other than the fact that you have to hike up 2 storeys to get to the reception area (not fabulous if you have big suitcases) and then maybe another storey to your room, this place has a great location close to the main shopping strip and very close to the old town where you'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes. Even the square surrounding where it's at has a few decent places to dine. I stayed for 4 nights and didn't have their breakfast, but from others I heard it was decent. The room I had was lovely and I loved the decor and view from my window. The bathroom was always spotless and the lady at the reception desk was friendly and helpful at all times. The train and bus station is only a 5-10 minute walk depending on how fast you are, so it's a great base to explore the chateaux in the region if you're not travelling by car (that's only if there isn't a train strike!). I'd definitely come back again, but next time I'll pack light!
