Central Location and Great AmenitiesPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was right in the middle of the old city, where everything is happening. The pool and hot tub were great additions to a nice modern hotel. Would stay again.

Great central location for all activities. Just a few minutes from the old town. Pool / fitness area worked well for us.

Wonderful ExperiencePosted Jun 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was the last hotel we stayed in during our 6 day driving travels before embarking on a cruise - and it was a fantastic choice. Of particular interest is it's location - so very, very easy to walk into the old city for interesting shopping, dining and people watching. The attached parking garage was very important to us and worked very, very well. Unfortunately our room was not ready when we arrived but we were given a time to return and our bags were graciously stored. Since the old city was so convenient, a glass of beer on a beautifully sunny day made the waiting no problem. Wonderful people - Wonderful place.

Grauer Bar by TerryPosted Feb 3, 2013
Pros: Convienence to most points of interest in Innsbruck.
Cons: Pillows were way too soft. Sound proffing of outside noise was not as good as other hotels I stayed in within Austria.
Location: Only a short ealk to the Old Town and resturants and shops
Great location close to the Old Town and shops and restuarants.

Superb location, great breakfast, roof top pool and hot tub. Shame that their are no tea making facilities and the towels and shampoo provided are below standard.

Well situated and good valuePosted Jan 2, 2013
Pros: Situation near to old town
Cons: The self service, canteen style dinner which was our only option as attached Wood and Fire was fully booked
Location: 10 mins walk from the railway station. Less than 5 mins to the old town and all its cafes and shops
Very well situated for the old town. Room was good value for money although the bed had very soft pillows - not uncommon in this part of the world. The attached restaurant (Wood and Fire) looked very nice but best to book early as we were unable to eat there throughout the whole of our stay as it was booked on Friday and Saturday and closed on Sunday.

Dirty, unclean and rude receptionistPosted Dec 24, 2012
Pros: Location, wellness area
Cons: Rude staff, hostel like room
Location: Innsbruck is extremely small so as long as you are in the centre you should be fine.
Okay, firstly this is the forth time I have stayed at this hotel and on the previous 3 occassions I would have rated the hotel higher and could not understand any negative reviews. The lobby, bar area, breakfast room/ breakfast and wellness areas are well maintained and suitable for a 4* hotel. HOWEVER, when I checked in with my family this time, the ginger haired receptionist was possibly the rudist person I have ever encountered at a hotel. She was abrupt and the simple act of checking in appeared to be a 'chore' for her. Not a great start and definitely this is not representative of Austrian hospitality (previous reviews have mentioned rudeness of staff but never encountered before at this hotel). The other mae receptionist was helpful and appeared almost embarrassed of her. The room - my 12 year old son referred to it as resembling a hostel & it provided great amusement during conversation throughout the evening. In summary, light didn't work in hall, wardrobe shelf broken, no shampoo/ shower gel and when requested only sachets like you get at service stations! The towels were like sandpaper and extremely worn and the furniture was tatty at best. The element that will mean I never stay at this hotel is when I dropped something under the bed, oh my god............it was filthy. If you want to stay in Innsbruck, this is an okay hotel as long as you get a decent room. However I will not be playing Russian roulette when I next stay and will opt for the hilton or golden adler
