Good international standard hotelPosted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: Very clean & spacious
Cons: The restaurant Konrads was quite poor & expensive. We had fish & chicken both dry & overcooked & chips stale & reheated.
Location: Very close to Innsbruck HBF (about 4 mins walk) and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the old city.
We stayed 3 nights in September 2014. Room very good - standard room for a business hotel.

Good, convenient hotel with mountain viewsPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: My room/bed comfort and the views
Cons: Wireless coverage in the rooms is surely an essential for todays traveller
Location: 5-10 minutes from the old town which is great
Great room on 9th floor, super views, and throughout my 8 night work-stay the staff were helpful and my room was comfortable and clean. I was out moreorless from 0830 til midnight so didn't use breakfast. On the downside -there was no wireless in my room (very unusual for a hotel of this standard) which made working of an evening a pain as I had to go. Twice the little milk tubs for my coffee were 'off'- the date was September and this was in late August and so hopefully they will refresh their stock soon as curdled coffee at 0700 is not pleasant.

Hotel with great viewsPosted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: The stunning view of the mountain
Cons: The bathroom could be modernised
Location: Take the train and cable card up the Nordketten, included in the Innsbruck card. The station is a 5-10 minute walk form the hotel.
The hotel is centrally located and a few minutes walk from the main station. We were offered a reduced rate on an upgrade to the deluxe floor which we decided to take as it included free wifi! The view of the Nordketten was stunning. The bathroom was a little dated but it was spotless and comfortable. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the old town but Innsbruck has some good transport around the town. Innsbruck is quite small though and is easy to get around in foot. As we stayed in summer I can't comment on the transport during the winter. We will definitely be visiting Innsbruck again and would stay in this hotel again.

Comfortable hotel in good locationPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: friendly staff, comfortable room and good location
Cons: More staff during breakfast at busy times when the tour groups are around
Location: very good location close to both railway station and old city
The best thing about this hotel is helpful and friendly staff. Hotel looks a bit tired from outside but offers good size clean rooms with very comfortable beads. If you are lucky to be at the top floors you will get also great view across the city and surrounding mountains. Hotel is close to railway station (connection to many points you can start walks in the Alps) and old city of Innsbruck (many restaurants and cafes). Good breakfast but it can get very busy when a few tour groups are around.

Slow servicePosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Location is good for exploring Innsbruck.
Cons: Parking. Increase the staff on duty.
There was one member of staff on duty when we checked in and a long queue. There was one member of staff on duty when we checked out and a long queue. On each occasion, a manager went past, saw the queue but did nothing to assist. The stressed person on the desk had to ask for assistance which duly came. Once would have been okay but as this was obviously standard practice, it wasn't good enough. My bill was also inaccurate and had to be amended. I should say they need to put more time and attention into their front desk procedures. The parking was inadequate and was too expensive.

City break to InnsbruckPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the main station and the very pleasant and efficient staff. The view from the rooms was spectacular.
Cons: Could not fault it!
Location: The hotel is close to the main attractions and the city centre restaurants.
We had a wonderful 8 day holiday in Innsbruck. There is plenty to do and the Innsbruck card, which you can buy valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours gives you free use of the buses and trams, one cable car ride, free entry to many attractions, a walking tour and use of the sightseer bus. You need to be prepared for all kinds of weather however and choose a good day for going up in the cable cars, otherwise you will be in the clouds!. Eating out is generally reasonably priced. It's a lovely place to visit and good for day trips to the mountain villages like Igls or Seefeld or even Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany, which is an hour away by train.
