New look to an old friend

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Close to shops. Easy excess.
Location: Kitchen Kettle, post office, antique shops.
I've had been there in the past, but my last visit was better. They had totally renovated the hotel, and now it's better than ever!

This is in perfect location if you love the country shopping in kitchen kettle. It's warm and inviting. Perfect hotel for a PA experience. About 5 to 10 min to route 30 for the outlets

Nice hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Cons: See above
Nice hotel, great room and very close to all key sites. Staff is excellent &'very hospitable. Greatly equipped gym. Overall experience is 4+ out of 5. Where the hotel needs massive improvement is in the breakfast which feels like in 1990's. Not self service, no coffee available around the clock as many hotels offer in reception. This hotel asks you to "chose two eggs, chose half grapefruit , chose bread etc." This style is not what I am used to in my travels. In other words: this is a great hotel w/o free breakfast included. if you like all the other things - great place to stay... If coffee & breakfast included is important for you - oh well...

Nice hotel for a family

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Its character with the local surroundings and access to the local market.
Cons: The GPS location is confusing at night. It says 772 on the left when it is little further to the right.
Location: Kitchen Kettle Village Sight and Sound Theatre Choo Choo toy museum ( amazing !!!)
The hotel is close to the kettle village and about 5 miles into the country from the main road and has a spa and a swimming pool that is good. It is more like a family place with a good country restaurant. Really enjoyed the stay even though the hotel was said to be added to Expedia recently. It is close to the Kettle market place which has a variety of local amish crafts and an amazing bakery and jelly place with buggy rides etc. The hotel seems little old but is maintained well with excellent room service who keep checking to make sure that the room is clean. I would like to go back for the reason that it has a little character with the surroundings instead of stepping into a hotel off the highway.

Beautiful Facility

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: It was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: An extra desk person is a must.
Location: Very nice location, close to Amish shopping and restaurants
The pros-This was a beautiful facility and was well-maintained for cleanliness. The staff was extremely friendly and seemed to want to accommodate every request we had. This hotel has an option to stay in rooms with 4 beds (two queens in one room and a queen and fold-out couch in another room). In essence, it contained 4 rooms. You walk from the hallway into a normal hotel room with a tv, desk, nightstand, set of drawers, closet, queen bed, and a fold-out couch. You then pass through a door (the door closes for privacy) into a narrow room that has the bathroom door to the left and a long counter with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot on your right. You pass through another door (it, too closes and locks) into the other bedroom with two queen beds. This Best Western had a restaurant attached. The Cons: There only seemed to be one person at the desk any time we walked by. There should have been two. Although they were extremely friendly, they were required to do too much causing considerable wait at times to check in, get towels, etc. This is not the fault of the workers but poor staffing by the management. Whereas the attached sit-down restaurant was nice and the food was tasty, the complimentary breakfast was not a quick affair as you might see in other hotels with a breakfast bar staffed by an attendant. There was a 15 minute wait to be seated at times. Once seated the formalities of ordering, getting food, and then the "check" took 30-45 minutes.
