This hotel was being renovated during our stay. The front lobby was completely gutted & the check in was located in one of the rooms. Not very welcoming at all. I know renovations need to happen sometime, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. Worse than that, though - the locks on the doors to the outside were duct-taped so they couldn't lock, which, obviously didn't make us feel very safe at all! The halls and common areas were not clean at all - most likely due to the renovations. The exercise room had a very strong smell to it and was quite dirty. We didn't even check the pool area. The included breakfast was served in a hotel room, and wasn't appealing in the least. On a positive note, our room was already updated and was pretty nice. I'm sure it will be better once the renovations are finished, and hopefully, at that point, they will make the building more secure. At this point, I would not recommend this hotel.

One of the worst stays I have ever had, and as a Diamond member with Hilton, I stay a lot. They absolutely should have closed the place for renovation rather than inconvenience guests with makeshift facilities. Will never stay here again and has reinforced my preference for the Hilton brand.

Not pleased. Toilet overflowed twice, dryer didn't get clothes dry, pool was pretty cold for being heated, mix up in reservations. Did get a free night though

I found every aspect about the hotel very good. Locating it from the road is a bit confusing as the hotel is dwarfed by the "Microtel" located just behind it. Country Inn & Suites could use a larger sign perhaps a block away on Upper 55th St. & Bishop Avenue indicating their exact location. The highway noise from US 52 was quite pronounced from 4am onward.

Great location for our group of young athletes. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast area was kept clean and supplied during service. Friendly, helpful staff. Walking distance to several nice restaurants & movie theatre. It is not a luxury hotel but it was comfortable and met our needs.

Cons: Clean the carpets
Location: B52 burgers was good.
Needs major updates. Hotel was very dirty and paper thin walls. Could hear a pin drop in the next room. Staff tried to put us in three rooms before they found one open. Booked two queens and got a single king with one rollaway. Not pleasant for four people.

Pros: Excellent free breakfast. Attractive clean rooms. Very nice staff.
Location: Many conveniences almost right across the street (gas station, coffee, liquor store, pizza). Very close to everywhere we wanted to go in the area.
I found this hotel to be very cozy and welcoming. It is in a really pretty and safe location. A nice hotel at a good price.

Great hotel. Upgraded us to the Presidential Suite. AMC theater just across. But a bit far from Mall of America (compared to other hotels). Great service.
