uncomfortable

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: Better mattresses cleaner air
Location: We were there for a granddaughter's surgery, so we did not have time to sightsee.
When we entered to hallway we were hit by a strong smell of cleaning chemicals. The bed sagged in the middle so we kept rolling into each other. My husband finally moved to the other bed.

Needs an update. Tired, worn furniture. Breakfast with egg "pucks" and styrofoam. Business center missing common business programs for guest convenience.

Close to the stadium but...

Sheets were very stained, bed uncomfortablly hard, so much dust on the lamp base you could write your name. This hotel is in major need of some pretty basic upgrades.

Clarion Hotel Highlander Conference Center

Posted Nov 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was nice, but the hotel experience as a whole was not pleasant. The hotel room was very outdated. There was a hole in the wall of the shower that had been patched with a piece of drywall and caulk. The room was not very clean, it was obvious it had not been dusted in a very long time. The bathroom door was busted and would not lock. The heater in the bathroom did not work at all. The bed was very uncomfortable and small. The food in the hotel restuarant was not cooked fully and tasted horrible. A customer beside us complained that his meatballs were cold in the middle. The sliders (hamburgers) we ordered tasted as if they were freezer burnt. The fries were hard and cold. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A nice place for a business stay.

Hotel is convenient to Interstate 80 but needs a bigger sign as it is difficult to find from the exit road. Although older, it has been nicely refurbished but the next project could be more comfortable beds. A surprisingly good little restaurant in the facility for travelers not wanting to go out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A decent complimentary breakfast with unusually good coffee (rare for most hotels in this price range).
