“Great Place Close to Attractions”
The receptionist was friendly and helpful in directing us to our room. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean.
“High cost for a drinking weekend”
Would have been nice if they could have kept the same rate for the entire weekend. Nice place to stay but a little pricey even for the Winter Games.
“Arrowood - Arnolds Park”
Didn't spend a lot of time in the motel - checked in at 3:30pm, left to visit friends, came back at 10pm, went to bed, had breakfast at 8:15 and were checked out by 9:15. But I'd go back. The only thing I found only average was the continental breakfast - nothing our of the ordinary, but reasonably well stocked.
“GREAT GET AWAY”
very nice hotel and makes a great golf weekend get away for couples....great location..on beautiful golf course. Close to everything and the Lake.
“Great Kid's Pool”
We stayed here overnight with my two young kids and the pool area was a huge hit, which was why we choose this hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was very good. The price of the room could not be beat. My only complaint was the smell of cleaner. Almost smelled like the hotel was attempting to cover up cigarette smoke.
“Would stay here again”
Nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in our room. We also had a small dog, which was not a problem for the hotel. Our room was on the ground level with a patio so it was very easy to take the dog out. Complimentary light breakfast. The hotel also had a nice restaurant. The only negative was the mold spots on the shower curtain. We would stay again, though.
“Iowa Great Lakes”
Great on-site restaurant (Minerva's# with a 'not-to-be-missed' Sunday brunch buffet. Nice daily continental breakfast included. Comfortable room, seemed to be plenty of parking #although it was off-season#. 24 Hr. Fitness Room was a nice amenity, although not all of the equipment was 100%. Would recommend a water dispenser. Upon check-out, couldn't find a staff member anywhere #it was around 6am#.
“Hotel on the strip”
the hotel is run down, pretty old I guess. The bed spreads were new,but they were very thin almost like a sheet. They gave me a key to my room and I opened the door and there was another person in their, we had to run back up to the desk and get another room.
“Won't stay there again”
Too old. Too run down for price.. Service in restaurant was poor.
“Not so good!”
Our first room was on 2nd floor. They had a water problem and the sewer smell was overwhelming in our hall then in the room. They moved us to another room on the other side of the hotel; we originally had a king bed, then they moved us to 2 queen bed room that had a heavy smoke smell (rooms are suppose to be NON-smoking!); then the sliding door would not lock. They moved us to a suite, which was nice, back at the other end of the hotel - hall smelled of sewer, but not the room, so we took it. Then, the next morning the toilet plugged! This room was nice, just seemed a little dated. I will NOT be staying here again!
