Rodeway Inn Milford

I waited too long to reserve a room at a Spirit Lake, Iowa resort where the rest of the wedding guests were staying, so I used Expedia to shop for other hotels or resorts in the area, as I was unfamiliar with the area. I'm not sure why I clicked on Rodeway Inn - they don't have the best reputation - but I clicked on this Rodeway Inn. I learned this was a new build hotel - the previous one had suffered a fire. As the rate was attractive, I went ahead and made the reservation, still thinking that I hoped the newness would outscore the Rodeway reputation. I was amazed to find a wonderfully appointed King room, very modern décor, and very clean. It was a small room - but had everything I needed to get some work done during down time on the weekend - and the bed slept very well. Kudos to the owners - a surprisingly pleasant Rodeway Inn!

Perfect for a quick stay in Lakes area,

#1 The hotel and rooms were very clean and looked as though had been updated recently. #2 Bed was comfy, nice room ammenities. #3 All staff we ran into were courteous and very pleasant. #4 Air conditioner was noisey, but they usually are.

Clean, comfortable, pool, outdoor patio and firepit very nice

Very cheerful, helpful staff. In the midst of a re do, so there are some glitches. Over all, a nice place to stay.

Our room was not vacuumed and the person in charge kept saying the vacuum just didn't pick it all up but that it had been vacuumed. The tub still had someones hair tie still on the tub ledge behind the shower curtain. Breakfast was late getting set up but was OK.

The Rodeway Inn Milford is not kept up the best but when you are in Okoboji, there is so much to do that you don't need anything other than a cheap place to lay your head for the night.
