“A Pleasant Stay”

Can't say that we had any complaints. The staff was quite friendly and helpful...even when we arrived at 1:00 a.m--14 hours early (We wanted to beat a snowstorm.) Although the boxsprings were showing age, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and smelled very fresh when we arrived. They made sure that our request for a non-smoking, first-floor room was met. The breakfast was quite satisfactory and had no problems with anything being stale. Would definitely stay here again when in the Iowa Lakes area.

“Average Hotel”

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights to attend a wedding in Okoboji. The hotel was in decent shape and the room was clean with the exception of the shower curtain. It was filthy. There were drips of mud everywhere. There is breakfast with belgium waffles which were good but the donuts and bread items were very stale. The staff seemed none too concerned with making our stay comfortable. In fact, the check in clerk barely spoke two words to me on both check in and check out. I did not receive a welcome, an enjoy your stay, a thank you nor was I asked how my stay was upon check out. If you just need a more economical hotel in the Iowa great lakes area and do not have high expectations, this hotel will suite you fine.

really is the middle of nowhere. Not too much around, but was only convient b/c everywhere around arnold's park iowa was sold out.
