“great hotel in S. Carolina”

This hotel was conveniently located off I-26, next door to Cracker Barrell, and right down the street from Lake Murray. Easy access to everywhere. The rooms were beautiful and the bonus was a living room area with a sofa, small fridge, and coffee station - for no more than I usually pay at a hotel. It surely made up for the tight access into the bathroom.

Area recommendations

I-26 is 1 block away and takes you anywhere you want to go. Within 5 miles is a mall, plenty of food choices, a family game facility and Lake Murray.

“Average at best”

it is an ok place except a bad stain on the carpet which needed shampoo and a major rip in the couch that looked like my 4 yr old kid sewed up. Could be better with a little effort

“Great Value”

“Especially nice hotel in Columbia”

Everything was just great other than the air conditioner that was too loud and didn't have a constant temperature. Especially liked the large size of the room and the computer desk.

Area recommendations

We were just passing through on our way to the Masters golf tournament in Augusta. Really was a nice place to stay on the way.

“Spacious Rooms”

Overall a very nice hotel. Rooms were spacious. Free breakfast bar was adequate, though below bar set by other places I have stayed, including less expensive hotels. Maid service seemed to have left a slick film on tub floor, causing me to fall though fortunately without injury. (Probably should have, but did not report the problem.) Check-in was a little delayed as the clerk had left the post unattended for a few minutes. Would have enjoyed a microwave in the room. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others, though with a warning about possibly slick tub floors.

“Yankee-Doodle Dandy”

Staff always spoke as we passed the lobby. Housekeeper was most accommoding when asked for a particular chore. Appreciated getting local daily paper. Breakfasts were different in that what was offered was limited but one could order for a fee. Parking was most convenient, and site was convenient to local shopping mall.

Area recommendations

By all means visit the Capital, and particularly the cemetary adjacent to the Episcopal diocean church. Trip to Charleston & Ft Sumter is a bonus. Commuter traffic can be tolerable.
