Historical site in the backyardPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The backyard of the hotel is the site of an historically significant development in iron ore processing. Not much remains of the site, but there are really good descriptive historical markers. 2 deer watched as I poked around the site.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. For us, it was just a place to sleep for a couple nights while vacationing in the area and it worked out very well. Breakfast in the morning was above average and included both eggs and sausage in addition to all the other usual stuff you will find on most hotel continental breakfasts.

Clean room, wildlife experiencePosted Jul 22, 2014
No elevator so the clerk graciously gave us a room on the first floor. Very clean, nice room. We looked out our window and there was a wild deer!
