Expensive for what you get

We had a great time in Isabella,but, compared to other places in the area, we did find the hotel rather expensive for what it actually had to offer.

Awesome hotel right on the beach with palm trees

Cons: I could not get a reply to my email to reconfirm my reservation. There was a problem with the toilet (not really their fault, a small part broke).
Location: Snorkeling at the beach down the road. Tours up the volcano (10 mile vigorous hike), boat tours.
This hotel is very nice. The staff was very, very helpful, and they have their own icemaker so we could enjoy ice water from time to time (Yes, very American habit!) There is a small inlet just out front for swimming that is very nice. The view was so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was comfortable, air con worked fine, and the food was inexpensive and delicious in the restaurant. The coffee was was EXCELLENT.

Perfect little oasis

Fantastic location between the port and the town centre right on the beach. Impeccable and super friendly service. Compared to other hotels I've seen in Puerto Villamil, this one is a perfect combination on comfort and charm. Would definitely recommend.

Great family-owned hotel that is well located for both beach, harbour, and restaurants. Very friendly service from most staff.

Lovely familly-owned hotel in perfect location

Considering how remote Isabella Island is, this hotel is providing very good service and more than adequate facilities in spite of the staff probably having had little formal hotel training. On that basis, I couldn't fault the hotel or its staff apart from the very last day out of 5, when one of the new English-speaking staff developed an attitude problem. However, the Owner duly apologised for this and took up the matter with the person in question.

disappointing

my "garden view room with terrace" was across the road from the hotel with beach access and outdoor lounge area, and it had no terrace. I upgraded for one night to beachfront. that room cost a lot. the room was bland, badly in need of a paint job and thorough cleaning, and on the ground floor, so no outdoor privacy. I duly learned that the 2 story suites with second floor terraces are the same price and I felt totally ripped off. adjust your pricing! i was told at check-in that I would have the "upgraded" room till 10:30am, but I was asked the next morning to move out at 9am to accommodate recent arrivals and really pressured to do so with no notice. there was no compensation offered; I was even charged for the fruit drink I ordered right after moving out of the room. come on, now! while the common outdoor space is amazing, the place felt impersonal and business-like to me, and the atmosphere was so unlike the 3 other hotels I stayed in during the same trip. and it was full of families with noisy young kids. most of the staff was great, but there were a couple who were unfriendly and made it obvious that questions bothered them. the staff sit all day on computers, as does the owner, and it feels like you're interrupting workers in an office setting. the food in the restaurant was amazing though and my night waiter and breakfast woman were very friendly. all in all, it was a disappointing end to my stay on isabela and I would not stay here again, or recommend it.

Como en casa.

El hotel es exelente, cuenta con una ubicacion privilegiada, al lado de manglares, frente a la playa. 3 cuadras de la plaza de Puerto Villamil. La comida mejor seria imposible. Sumado a esto lo que marca realmente la diferencia es la calidez de sus empleados, desde su dueƱa hasta el personal de servicio. Una gran familia que hace de tu estadia como estar en tu casa.
